I need ideas for a science fair project--kindergarten level and three projects to be exact. My triplets are in kindergarten this year and the science fair is at the end of January. I need some easy ideas they could test and prove or dis-prove...some examples given by the teacher were which surface does a toy car roll on the easiest and things a magnet will attract. See, it doesn't have to be very involved, but I do need three different projects. Any suggestions?

You can do the "How a plant drinks water?" with celery or carnations.
Do your kids have those Hot Wheels Formula Feulers? My dd did one on what liquid made it go the fastest. We had a blast doing that one!
How about what brand of batteries last the longest? Keep flashlights on 24/7 and see which one stays the brightest.
Plants- Keep one in the dark,one in a sunny window. Or give them different liquids-water, juice, etc.

Here are some from last year (DD was in Kindergarten then):

Which paper airplane flies farthest (fold airplanes different ways)

What type of ball bounces the best (big, small, etc)

What types of food does my hampster/gerbil/guinnea pig like best

My DD is currently working on this year's (1st grade) project: which girl scout cookies sell the best

Can they do one joint project? It would be fun to see if they could 'read each other's minds". You could have them sit behind a board and look at playing cards and see if the other one can tell what the card is. You could do child A with child B, child B with child C and child A with child C and see if they have a "connection".

My niece did one about Which Brand of Popcorn Pops the Most Kernals (interestingly, it turned out to be the store brand )

One year we did "Does it float?" We gathered a bunch of small objects, then DD predicted whether it would float or sink, then tested her hypothesis.
