Okay, so we put in a call to our guide to do an add-on at BCV!

Here is my question and it's about use year...what use year do we want so we can get the 2008(or is it 2007 points I'm looking for?) points as well as those coming on 2009(or is it 2008)?

We don't want the same use year as we have now, because that was a extended family purchase that involves my siblings. We want our little family purchase to be on a separate account than our previous SSR DVC.

I have read about this somewhere on the boards, but the search is not working for me today!

We will vacation in April and June/July at BCV, so what do we ask for?

I hope you understand what I am asking?

If you do not want an add on to your existing contract, you will need to purchase a new contract with a minimum of 160 points if you go through Disney. Any add on to an existing contract will be the same use year you have and deeded to the same individuals owning the master contract.

You may want to check out resales instead.

If you are already a member I did not think that you can have a seperate account. Our original purchase was with my parents. We are listed as owners. With my recent add-on, it had to be an add-on to that same account since I am already a member. Also, since I purchased thru Disney I had to get the same UY. I had to go on a waitlist for June UY points. Within 2 days my account showed a new contract with the 2008 UY points. Your ability to get 2008 points maybe different since I bought AKV points and you are looking for BCV points.

You can purchase a separate account, but it has to be an entirely new master contract and meet the minimum buy in for new contracts.

If you really want to do a smaller purchase add-on through Disney, it has to be titled exactly the same as your master contract, and be the same use year.

I want to buy directly through DVD, so how long does a new contract usually take to go through?

For a new master contract, or add-on , the pints should be available as soon as you make a deposit on the purchase, though I'd give them a couple days for weekends and holidays. If your purchase includes a developers poit incentive, that will take longer for those points to become available. If there are no 2008 points available for your use year, as is the case of many new AKV contracts, you'll have to wait for your next use year to start (or your owned unit to be completed and avilable) to use your ponts.

I think OP was asking about a BCV add-on, and I just wanted to point out that there's a waitlist. I recently added two 25's at BCV. The first one took four days, and the second one took a month. I was #8 on the WL, but I think I was able to get it because everyone ahead of me was looking for a larger # of points.

For BCV, if your use year start date has past, you should be getting 2008 point. If your use year has not started yet, you should be getting 2007 points now, and 2008 points when your use year starts.

As the previous poster said, you may have to waitlist, depending upon if they have any points available for your use year.

We would have been #70 on the waitlist, so we bought our other choice...my real choice...BWV! We are in and ready to go!
