How easy is it to push a wheel chair in the parks. My dad will be using one when we go in may. He is worried that we will get tired of pushing him. I told him we are a family and we do what we have to on the trip so everyone has fun.

FWIW, I'm 60 and in good health and have no problem pushing DW in her WC. Some spots are a pain in the butt: the hill at International Gateway, some spots in AK, the TTC monorail ramps (EPCOT has an elevator :thumbsup2 ), the Fantasmic Hill, and a few others. But no big deal really.

And the WC does offer some bennies, get a backpack (WC type or other) and let the WC carry the gear, a few cup holders are nice (don't forget one in the back so that the motor can have their favorite adult beverage in easy reach:drinking1 )

The biggest challenge is dealing with Park Commandos, and they come from every group: walkers, heelies types, other WC'rs, ECV'rs and stroller nazis.

From my experience, it's no big deal pushing the WC, just roll along and have a ball.

PS: If you ever go to MNSSHP, always tell the candy givers "The motor needs extra", and you'll get a double load of goodies!!:cool1:

Thanks for the candy info. Is it so nice to know that others share were the ruff stops are and in the park. Thank you .:grouphug:

With all do respect, not everyone who uses a wheelchair enjoys being someone's coat rack. My wheelchair is an extension of my body, not something to carry bags or purses on. No cup holders either.

Sorry, just wanted to insert a thought.

Hey, no problem. Back pack on our WC was installed at DW's insistance.

:)
