Pushchair hire - using Dream AP??

One of the benefits of a Dream AP is pushchair hire. It appeals not having to take 2 pushchairs on upcoming trip so I thought we would hire them using our AP.

However, the wording of the benefits statement on DLRP Magic made me wonder if we get use all day (it says 'Free use once each day of Stroller & Wheelchair Rental'). Does anyone know please? Also, what happens if we want to leave the Park and go to the Studios? (I know when you pay to hire you have to leave a hefty deposit to take out of the park).

I'm beginning to wonder if it will be a hassle to queue up for a pushchair each day/return it etc. Especially if it is quite busy. Presuming also that it doesn't open until after EMH so we'd have to do without during that time/walk to/from the park each day (no big problem I guess but at the end of the day it could be an issue!).

yes, you will get to use a stroller in both parks on the same day. But as you say below, you would have to go to the stroller hire place in your first park, you get a receipt for the stroller, then if you want to go to another park, you'd have to put your stroller back, keep your receipt, and then go get another stroller in the next park.

i'm sure the stroller hire shop is open during EMH. However, yes, end of the day your little one is going to have to walk out of the park as you won't be able to take the stroller to your hotel.

The strollers also don't recline, at all.

Are they the hard plastic ones like in the states?

i've not seen the ones in the parks in the States, but yes, they are big black strollers.

eta - if you google for "photos of disneyland Paris strollers" a couple of photos come up in images.

Thanks for the info Elaine - I thought as much about the hire between parks. Could end up being a bit of a pain but having said that, not sure we'll be jumping between park/studios several times a day (tend to do a full day in Studios after EMH)....

I can't recall seeing any DLRP pushchairs during EMH but it was a while ago and I wasn't looking that hard

I don't think it will be an issue not reclining - DD2 isn't that little (she will be 4), and she can sleep on a washing line so if she does nod off she will be fine . DD1 certainly won't sleep in one - just more to save her little(ish) legs

It just saves us taking 1 or 2 pushchairs on the flight - I shudder thinking about the hassle at CDG with pushchairs!! Plus, I want to get the use out of our APs .

Rental is free with the Dream AP.
You can pay a deposit (it was 70€ last time I asked) and take it from one park to the other all day long.
So you don't have to change pushchairs in each park but as they are horrible rigid things you might be better buying a cheap fold up one and taking that instead

We are being very brave this year and going without a buggy. I must admit though that I am glad to have the free rental to fall back on if we find we really need it. I'm sure I have seen the buggy rental open during EMH but if not you could go and get on some rides and then come back for the buggy a bit later.

I have one lightweight pushchair I could take Carrie but it's the hassle at the airports etc I would rather avoid. I did realise that Dream APs include hire free, it was more about how it works with regard to the odd wording in the benefit statement (once per day??) and how to take it between park/studio. Also, presuming you can't take it into the Village ....?

Joth - I am the same, want to brave it! We will need one though as DD2 doesn't like walking at the best of times . DD1 will walk for miles but I still think she may need one at DLRP especially if we end up in the Park for a long day (as we sometimes do).

After all this, I might take one lightweight one of our own and just hire one for DD1 who will need it much less ....

I think we should be fine without one as youngest DD used it for no more than a couple of hours a day last June and she will obviously be a year older by our next trip. She is a good walker too especially if we are going somewhere she wants to go We will definately miss it though, it is great for putting all the stuff on.

If your daughter doesn't like walking and will be in the buggy quite a bit then you will probably be better off taking your own as the hire ones really look uncomfortable.

I bet that odd wording is because it's been translated.. all the AP information is in French only...will try and find the original

As I said ^^ if you pay the "caution" you can take it between the parks. They give you a paper that you then show when you enter into the Studios and then again when you go into the park etc etc

You can't afaik take it into the Village or to the hotels but I think by the end of the day you would be so fed up of pushing it, they are pretty heavy, bulky and difficult to move around certain areas of the park that you would be glad to get rid of it
