The last time we saw him was in May 2009 in California Adventure near Wine Country Trattoria. It has also become one our our favorite Disney memories. Push was chatting with a young boy named Samuel who was on his way to ride Screamin'. Their conversation was priceless and we still laugh about it and tease each other with a line from their conversation. After a lengthy chat, Samuel began heading to Screamin'. Push held back a little bit and then began following him at a distance. When Samuel turned around and saw Push following him, he said told Push that he was watching him and then Push said, "No, Samuel. I'm watching you!" Youwould have had to be there to get the full effect but the interaction between Push and Samuel was a hoot. Hope we get to see him on this trip!
Hahahah.. that's pretty funny already.. yes, probably even better if we were really there. I haven't heard much of sightings about him lately.. Hope he's still there.
Push, the talking trash can is usually found at WDW in Tomorrowland, or as the above poster said, in DCA. But it could be anywhere--he's a trash can and looks like the real thing. But, he talks and moves around --he may follow you. He's very friendly. At WDW, he has a sister named PIPA. Then, of course at Animal Kingdom at WDW, there's Wes Palm. He's a talking and moving tree!
Is there any way to tell which trash can he is? or if he's even in the park that day? I would LOVE to meet Push! But I think they may remove me from the park if I go up to every trash can whispering "Push? Is that you? You in there?"LOL! People will give my family the, "Oh aren't they sweet for caring for the crazy mom" look

- giggles while picturing you going up to every trash can in the park -
That would be hilarious!
To save you from that... here's a few Push clues:
- look for a crowd gathered around a trash can
- look for people talking to it
- listen for it talking back
- look for a moving trash can
- look for people taking pics and video of it
We have seen him in a while, but have seen him many times in Tomorrowland.
We had Push approach us just as we were walking by.. Out of the blue with no audience at that point. He just started talking to me and Im like ...oh snap maybe I have done too much Disney when the garbage can starts talking to me! My dh clued in and whipped out the video camera and approx 30 min of hilarity with a growing audience ensued.

It is with a heavy heart that I must say that the Push who was in Tomorrowland in DL California is gone. My DS and I talked to a CM about it and he said that the Push in California Adventure is still there but may not be around a lot because of all the construction. So, I'm happy we still have one, but sad that the other had to leave.
Had to do a little digging, but I found my PUSH pictures from a while back.
Here's PUSH having fun with a kid who was just old enough to have fun back. PUSH was following the kid in red, who would turn and say something to PUSH and walk away. PUSH would say something and follow. And the kid would stop, say something, walk away. Repeat.... It was very funny!
This is when I asked PUSH (from about 5 people away) if it would pose for a picture (meaning, stop moving for a second). It rolled RIGHT up to me and said, "CHEEEEEEEEEEEEESE" hehe
Push is fun when it interacts with kids. It is also fun to see puzzled looks on the faces of adults as they try to figure out how it works.
If you look around when Push is conversing with a child, you can find the operator. Look for a person nearby with dark glasses, and a shoulder bag, pretending to look at a display rack or something in a store. I suppose there is a radio control transmitter in the bag, and a small microphone in his mouth.
I was SO shocked the first time I met Push hahaha. It was 2005 (or 07, I forget all these trips lol) in front of Buzz Lightyear and I was walking around and all of a sudden I heard "are you a bad kitty?" (i was wearing a tank top that said bad kitty) and so I turned around and there's a trash can RIGHT behind me lol
