Purse Wallet Stolen at Epcot

We have lost things at WDW too...but have been blessed to have them returned. My dd lost her cell phone on the bridge between Frontierland and Liberty Square (near the water no less:eek:) during Spectromagic, and we didnt even realize it till her boyfriend called from Atlanta saying someone just called him (last number on the phone she dialed) and said they had the phone. We called her phone and spoke with the guy. We met up with the guy after Wishes....I was beyond thankful to him!
I left my BRAND new camera in my new camera bag (which also had dd's BRAND new camera in it) hanging on the back of the chair in Roaring Forks at the WL back in 2006. I ran back within 5 mins or so and it was gone. The poor CM had to deal with me crying saying all our Disney photos were on the memory card and what was I gonna do???? We asked all around, but no one says they saw anything. I went to the front desk to let them know...in case it was turned in...and amazingly it was already there! Another CM had taken it there right away!
We have also lost hats...twice...and have gotten them both back. The only thing we didnt get back was a coffee carafe that my DSIL left in their room at the WL. I dont even know why she had the thing, but evidently it resembled the ones they use for room service (a while tall coffee carafe) and it got taken to the kitchen...never to be seen again.
Hopefully you will get your purse returned to you, OP. Sending pixie dust your way:wizard:

Positive thoughts and prayers for your stuff to be returned. It is so unnerving to lose all of that. I was mugged in Europe and lost all of my cash, credit cards and passport, not fun at all.

I turned in a camera once there and was walking back by where I found it and a lady was crying! I explained what I did and walked with her t where I turned it in But it was already in route to the main lost and found " area" she got it back but it did take a day to catch up to it!! ( they were gonna send it to room as her info was on it!)..

goodluck!!

I was in Florida in may and right before heading out we stopped in Walmart. My sister went to change my nephew and the we left we were driving and we were in south Carolina before she realized she left it in the bathroom. I called them they had it and mailed itto her all here money and cards were still in there. So maybe someone will have a change of heart.

I'm so sorry!!! You are not alone. I sometimes feel like I have a dark cloud hanging over my head too. On our beach vacation 2 yrs ago, we all had the stomach virus, our car battery completely died, had to be towed, and a new battery, and then a hurricane came through on our last day.

Oh yeah, and Hurricane Irene caused us to have to leave a day early for our cruise last summer...no big deal, except we had only 8 hrs notice and had lots of stuff still at the dry cleaners.

Our luck has to change and so does yours..praying that you get a call from Lost and Found saying that they found it.

Shame on the person who found it and did not return it! Seriously even if they wanted to keep the cash, turn in the rest so u could have your license, cards back....

This should not happy at the happiest place on earth!

Your luck will turn around!

Enjoy your trip

We were at Bay Lake Towers and found a brand new IPHONE buried in the sand under the hammock. The owner had already disabled it so we were unable to call them to deliver the good news that we had it. We turned it into the front desk but it seemed like quite a lengthy process to get it over to lost and found. Give it a few days. I know how it is. My daughter lost her IPHONE 20 days after purchase and never saw it again. (think she left it in a cab..) Good luck to you.............

I'm really sorry this happened to you. I know how it puts a damper on your Disney trip. My second Disney trip was my Disneymoon. I was in the restroom at MK and took off my engagement ring, wedding band, and a very nice sapphire ring to put on sunblock. It was a crowded restroom, I got distracted with a text, and when I looked up, the rings were gone. I spent the first hour in MK bawling my eyes out. I really hope your purse turns up.

I'm so sorry for all of your mishaps. I find it so incredibly sad that in almost all cases of lost purses/wallets, the cash and/or gift cards is missing when it is turned in. I just cannot imagine even being tempted to rifle through someone's belongings, let alone take money...and you'd think at Disney people are family-oriented and honest. Guess not.

I hope your missing items turn up. :(

I couldn't imagine doing that either. Once I found a purse sitting on the floor of the walkway bridge in the Animal Kingdom Lobby. It was buzzing. I took it straight to the front desk. I am sure they were calling but I didn't want to open it. Invasion of privacy and the cast member took it. Good deeds. Hopefully someone will find mine and return it.

OP, so sorry you are having all this bad luck. I personally wouldn't say the item was stolen though as much as it was mislaid and now is not there. It could be that someone turned it in (which is what we hope!) and then it wouldn't be stolen at all. Fingers crossed it wasn't stolen and some good samaritan picked it up to turn it in.
