Purse? Money Belt? Knapsack? And what inside?

Thinking about those little details since am packing now. Yah!

I need to pack light because I have back issues but am thinking I at least need to carry:

• bit of money
• phone
• suntan lotion (DH will carry the bulk but there are times we'll be splitting up with our kids)
• autograph book & sharpie (probably)
• sunglasses (when not wearing on rides)
• ponchos
• band aids
• water

Any other essentials? (We have memory maker so will probably use our phones for those other pictures)

Also, do you carry a light purse? Or wear a money belt? And/or a knapsack?
I'm thinking I'll take DD's small knapsack to put in her autograph book and extra sunscreen and water and put rest in either purse or money belt.

I usually have a small cross body bag that I carry, and my husband carries a small sling type backpack. One item that is a must for us is a hair brush. I have longer hair and it gets super tangled on faster rides. Plus it's nice to brush it out before pictures. we also always carry lip balm. The Florida sun kills my lips. Have fun!!

I have a Bagallini cross body bag that I carry most days and it is fine. I carry pretty much what you do plus a few OTC meds like Tyelenol. If it is predicted to rain or if it is a cooler day for layering, I have a small fabric backpack that is very light and comfortable to carry. I will put ponchos in there or our taken off layers as the day goes on. I take that instead of the cross body bag. I try to be light

I carry a small crossbody bag. In my bag I have a small wallet, band-aids, Neosporin, hand sanitizer, travel wipes, chapstick for kids, moist lipstick for me, foundation with SPF to reapply mid-day, sunscreen, iPhone, comb and scrunchies for ODD and me to pull back hair.

DH carries a small backpack with extra clothes for the toddlers, diapers, wipes and anything else like snacks/drinks or purchases.

We use string backpacks, they are light and easy to carry and hold plenty. We buy them as a souvenir, so we have one from 2009, 2010 and 2012. They are worth the money, usually between $20 and $25, but we use them every trip.

I also have back troubles and prefer to travel light with all the walking(2 L5/S1 discectomies). I use a cross-body purse that is quite small. With magicband now all I really carry is my phone, sunglasses, lip balm and painmeds for my back. DH usually take a backpack with any larger items and to add sweatshirts to throughout the day (we go in Nov./Dec).

I carry my things in a small string backpack. I don't carry a purse in "real" life, so I couldn't imagine wearing one in WDW. I like the backpack so my arms and hands are free. If I sit in a chair with a back, lots of times I will wear it on one shoulder, kind of like a purse, until I'm up again.

I love this bag as the strap is a comfortable fabric for a cross body bag style - not "seatbelt" material like some bag I have purchased. And the length of the adjustable strap is awesome, hip length! Some like a smaller version, but Kipling is a great brand. It's washable too.

It can even fit waterbottles - one on each side by the straps where it's taller.

Nothing sexier than when my wife throws on the ole fanny pack She's usually very fashion conscious due to her job but when we're in WDW that all goes out the window for effeciency. It's not even that big and she carries tissues, credit cards, bandages, itinerary, park cards but don't need those any longer, cash, lip balm, and anything else we'll need that day in the park. I usually use a back pack for camera and essentials but I like the string backpack idea. Great souvenier and the kids use them all the time for school stuff. Good luck!!!

This is what we do! I wear the sexy fanny pack or my husband will do a string backpack. Usually just have phone, camera, sunglasses, chapstick, tylenol & a sweatshirt for my daughter. Anything we buy gets delivered to our hotel.

I have a lanyard. I carry my ID, some cash and my health insurance card. I keep my iphone in my pocket.

If my kids want autograph books they have to carry them most of the time.

We do take midday breaks for pool time so I don't feel the need to carry more than what I can fit in my lanyard.

Thanks for the replies. I like the hairbrush one (but so true). Mind you, they did say to bring one to our BBB appointment.

Lip balm and OTC meds. Good point. And of course sweaters if cooler at times.

Dh will carry the bulk of things, but I'll need something for when we split up with our kids.

My purse is quite lightweight, can carry criss cross (and I don't even carry a wallet to limit the weight), but sometimes I find it hard on my back. Go figure. Maybe I need to switch sides more often.

I plan on picking up a new cross body type backpack, not a huge one... but enough for my ipod and extra charger (I don't have a cell phone so I'm hoping this will suffice for MDE when needed), lip balm, hand sanitizer, small baggy with wipes, my small card carrier for my cc, id and a small amount of cash, ponchos, and I plan on just taking my small point and shoot camera instead of my big canon.
