If I were to purchase some points direct with my daughter (grown up, working) who doesn't live with me any more, would we both be eligible for the membership extras? I'd be too old to make proper use of Riviera and I don't think it will do well on resale, but I visited on my last trip in early February and I really liked the resort.

If you are both named on the contract then yes, you would both get a blue card and the perks.

But you don't just have to buy Riveria. You can also buy other resort contracts directs if they have availability.

I did this in the fall, DH and I bought RIV with my 3 adult children as co owners, You can have up to 6.

In order to keep it in the same membership, I did have to do a gratuitous transfer to get their names on my SSR contract, or it would have been a 4th membership,

That means if you already own points, and she is not an owner of those, this will be a brand new membership, even if it is the same UY as contracts have to be titled to the same owners in order to add it to an existing membership,
