Purchasing Tix with Genie Coming

We aren't going to Disney until May 2022. We will purchase our tix from a third party vendor. Should we wait until Genie is instituted or can it be added later?

Add it later if you want. If it's not a busy time you may not even need it. I never bought maxx pass at Disneyland and went on all the rides I wanted to. However, Disneyland still offered free paper fast passes at the time. I am going to wdw in the fall and hope genie is still in the bottle. If not, I will just adjust my ride strategy. I won't be adding to an already expensive ticket.

So does that mean if I buy a three day ticket and schedule my November dates online I can still add Genie + to them when it comes out?

yes. You can add Genie anytime after midnight on the day you want to use it.
