Purchasing tickets on the web?

This will be our second WDW trip with four days at the parks. I need some advice from the experts out there!

I saw that on "The Dis" homepage there is an ad for purchasing theme park tickets in advance at "officialticketcenter.com" Has anyone out there used them? Do the tickets really come in the 3 business days as promised for the $10.00 charge? Or would I simply do better at the Disney Store with a 10% Disney Club discount?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may need to check at The Disney Store, but I think the 10% DC discount has been discontinued for the 4 day hoppers. However, I think you still get the discount if you purchase the 5, 6, or 7 day hopper plus tickets. Obviously this would be more expensive, but it would give you some extra days that you could use on your next trip. I know nothing about officialticketcenter.com, but is the savings enough to make up for the $10 delivery charge?

Thanks Eeyore's Girl! I may buy the 5 day hopper to get the discount since we will probably go back in 2005.

Thanks again for your help!

The discount is not, nor ever has been 10% on passes. It is more like 5%.

Ticketmania has free delivery and very good prices.

Thanks Gail! I will check out ticketmania. Sorry about the mistake on the club discount. As you can see I am a "newby" and I apologize if I gave anyone any misinfoirmation

Thanks, Kathy

Try Mapleleaf Tickets. Omar was great and the tickets came on time as promised. When you are doing your shopping for the best price make sure you add in tax, many sites leave tax out and also the delivery fee. I did the math last year for a 5 day hopper and Mapleleaf was the cheapest.

Hey, Kathy, not a problem. :) It is confusing as a lot of the stuff at TDS is 10% off with the DC.

Everyone was a "newby" once upon a time and everyone makes errors. Heck, I do it all the time. :)

Welcome to the Dis Kathy. :)

I have heard really nice things about Mapleleaf but, I prefer doing business with people I have used before. Ticketmania does include taxes in their prices and they do not charge for shipping.
I totally agree with making sure about something first. Many times people simply do not read the website carefully enough.

It is nice to have places to compare. :)

Thanks again to all who helped! Now the fun part - actually buying the tickets! Thank goodness Friday is payday for me!

Have fun, I love buying stuff online. :)

BTW, and OT, I was on LI last weekend. That LIE is something, SUV hell.

Let us know how it goes!! I'd love for a sample comparison of ticket prices -- I didn't even know these other places EXISTED! (My family mocks me for not knowing everything there is to know at this point in time, yet every time I peek on the boards, there are at least ten things I never knew!!!)

It is an easy and fun project to do in your spare time.

here are a couple of sites to get you started.

www.tickemania.com
www.floridaorlandotickets.com

There are more listed on this site.

Another thing to do is sign up for mousesavers newletter.
www.mousesavers.com she frequently has deals going with ticketmania and only newletter subscribers can hear about them.
Also, the DIS has a ticket connection. Just look at the banners at the top of the page. Click on tickets.

Thanks Gail! You are always a font of terrific info! Have a great trip! (I'm soooooooo jealous -- I want to go in 39 days, too!!!)

LOL, when are you going? I bet I will want to go when your trip gets to be 39 days out. :)

;) Gail -- we WERE going to go in January for the marathon, but some friends of ours are going in November for a week around Thanksgiving and are twisting our arms to go then with them. I'm battling my gut-reaction against extra crowds with the need to go sooner, rather than later . . . It's been nearly TWO WHOLE YEARS and I am suffering severe withdrawal . . .
