I just read that DVCers can get a discount on the tickets needed for this event.

We have been going crazy trying to find an open date (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) where there is an available room but no luck til today when a helpful MS person came up with a single studio room available Halloween weekend at Saratoga Springs for us (also waitlisted at BCV).

Now my wife is fightng her employer who wants her to work that weekend - hopefully she can get out of it as we have cancelled every vacation for the last 5 months due to illnesses.

Anyway any info on this tickets and how they work?

I don't think there are any discounts for the night of halloween tickets but I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am. We are going the 22nd and we could get a DVC discount. The latest discount night for DVC I saw listed is Oct 6th. If you look on DVCmember.com site, the home page at the bottom, click on MNSSHP link and I believe it list the discounted dates there.

I hope your wife get the time off and you have a great time!!!!

We're going to be there that same weekend. We arrive on the 29th and leave on the 1st. I was nervous about buying MNSSHP tickets for a travel day, in case we get delayed at the airport. So that meant the only night we could do it is Halloween night. Unfortunately, there are not any DVC (or annual pass) discounts for MNSSHP that weekend. In fact, there's actually a premium price for Halloween night. (Note that the premium Halloween night prices apply even if you purchase in advance.)

Here's the info from the DVC Member Site. It has the dates and prices:

Halloween night (full price) is already sold out.

As stated above, the latest date for the DVC discount is October 6.. I would purchase asap if you are looking at the latter half of October. Many dates do end up selling out..

I checked and there are still tickets for Nov 1. Cost for the three of us approx $180. Yikes, thats the scary part!!!:scared1:

When it 1st started it was only limited amount sold and it was pretty fun,2nd time in 05 it was a mob scene and for the price of the tickets we didn`t think it was worth it.Forget about trick or treating, lines were longer than Space Mountain

Just for future reference, when does MS normally start selling MNSSHP tickets? We plan to go in late September 2010 and don't want to miss out because the tickets get sold out. Thanks for your help.

This year they went on sale May 1st. I bought mine just a couple of weeks ago for the beginning of October. Only if you are planning right around Halloween, would I then buy them earlier than that. :)

:thanks: It's good to know we'll have some time after the dates are announced to decide on what date we'll want to go.

Well the good news is my wife got off from her employer for Halloween weekend so Disney here we come!!! My DS14 is actually a little sad cause he wanted to trick & treat with his friends on the block. I tried to reason with him saying OK 1 hour with your friends versus a 4 day stay at Disney. Give it some thought. He finally came around.

Ever the plane fare on Jet Blue is cheap at about $300 each versus $600 each during Christmas. Will book in two days cause it get charged to the following month on visa!!

Thank goodness, another Disney trip and soon!!! I want a Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream!
