What's the best deal out there on Magic Your Way passes? Also, how can I make sure that my family of 4 can get them on the morning prior to check in at Beach Club Villas? I would like to just go to the BC, grab the passes, then go to the parks. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sign up for the Mousesavers Newsletter. www.mousesavers.com Each month, on the 15th, you will receive the newsletter. In there, ticketmania always has a link to their site for discounted tickets. They are the cheapest I've found. Their prices include tax and the shipping is free.

I second what Dopey Sharon said. You can go directly to www.ticketmania.com, but subscribers to Mousesavers get an extra discount and a link for that.

I'm taking two of my grandaughters in April. We will probably go to the parks for 5 days, but I plan to purchase a 7-day basic ticket. That way, if we decide to park hop on two of those days, we can just use two days worth of tickets in one day. It was much cheaper than buying the parkhopping option to the basic ticket. In fact, it's just a few dollars more than the 5-day basic ticket. However, I will be purchasing the 10-day with parkhopper for me because it's cheaper than buying two 5 or 7 day basic tickets.

Just do the math to see how it works best for your situation.

I just purchased our 10-day premium MYW passes from Maple Leaf tickets. They seem to have a lower rate and I have heard good things about them from these boards. Now I'm just waiting for them to arrive in the mail.

One more purchase, DDE card, and we are ready to go. :cool1:

I never thought of doing it this way! I will have an AP, my DH has a 4 Day PHP, my DD will be using two PHs, with three days left on them. Her boyfriend will need a pass. I was going to tell him to get a 5 Day basic/hopper, but for $14 less, he can get a 10 Day basic ticket. We probably won't go to more than two parks in one day.

Thanks for the tip! :)

I ordered my 10 day no-expire tickets from ticketmania with the Mousesavers discount. Sign up for it fast, the next newsletter should be coming out on Tuesday. The 10 day no-expire tickets are a good deal if you are planning on a second trip at some point. We are using 5-6 days this trip, and the remaining on the next trip.

Ummm, you can't go to more than one park per day on the basic ticket, no matter how many days are left on it. That Magic Disney computer knows where you have been! The official word is that you must buy a park hopper ticket if you want to park hop.

There goes that idea! I thought it was too good to be true. :sad2:

Actually, I called MS and asked them. Twice. They said we could use two days of tickets for one day if we go to two parks in one day. I called again to verify because I wanted to be sure it was okay. Second person confirmed that the tickets could be used that way. Just call for yourself and see what they tell you. The first person I called to ask was the DVC MS and the second person I called was the WDW number used by the general public. I specifically told them that we were planning on spending 5 days at the parks and asked if we wanted to park hop on two of those days, if that was possible by purchasing a 7-day basic ticket and using two park tickets on two of the days. They both said yes. You are also still able to go to one park, go back to your room for a break, and return to that park if you get your hand stamped.

I'm sorry, but that information is incorrect.

I don't know why it was twice verified as true, but you simply cannot park hop unless your ticket has park-hopping.

I just don't want you to spend the extra money, and get gypped out of your time in the parks!

are the discount rates through mousesavers better than the advance purchase rates through Disneyworld.com?

How much is the savings if you buy a 7 day Park Hopper on disneyworld.com? I didn't realize that there is a price difference from buying them ahead of time versus buying them at the resort.

Also, if I buy them in advance, can the resort add them on to my resort room key? I like to have just one card/ticket/key to worry about. Thanks :flower:

yes, the discounted rates at ticketmania and mapleleaf are cheaper than advanced purchased from Disney. :flower:

I have researched to find AAA has the best prices. I tried Billyboys, ticketmania and others. AAA WAY cheaper. I purposely joined just to get their prices.

I don't see why Disney would not let you use two days tickets. Seems to me that they would be glad to "get it out" of you. If I were the poster, I would just document who told me what and go ahead with the plan. It may stop the girls at entry to warn you however.

It doesn't matter who said what. It's a limitation of the computer system.

Let's say you have a non-hopping ticket and go to the Magic Kingdom on Monday. If you go to Epcot later on Monday, the computer can ONLY tell that the ticket was used that day. It is not capable of taking another day off of the ticket until Tuesday. It sees you don't have hopping, and that while the ticket was used, it was NOT used at Epcot so it won't release the turnstile.

Sometimes people have a hard time grasping the concept that the Disney ATS uses a system of days for the theme park admissions, not the number of park admissions. You buy a ticket with four days on it, not four park admissions. The system is specifically programmed to NOT take off a second day of any ticket.

The plus options use individual admissions which mean you can use multiple ones on the same day. The park admissions are days.

I just got off the phone with WDW and was told, for the 3rd time now, that we can use two park tickets in one day. I asked her specifically if we would be able to use one park ticket to go to MK in the morning, then use a second park ticket in the afternoon to go to Epcot. She at first said no, then I mentioned to her that I had been told twice previously that I would be able to. She put me on hold to check with her supervisor and came back to tell me that we would be able to do this and that she had misunderstood the rules on this.

I guess we'll find out in April whether or not this works. Has anyone out there tried this yet?

Hope it's okay to ask my own question about ticket on this thread instead of starting a whole new thread for a quick answer.. I see you can get 7 day and 10 day park hopping passes but can I get an 8 day one?????
