There are three of us in our party and we have 8 day part tickets. I was trying to purchase it before we arrive and the price was more than it should’ve been. it came out to $414.12 before taxes. Based on my calculations it should be $360. Anyone know what’s going on.

Did you include tax? That might be the difference. The tax rate vary, but can easily be over 13%

I would still guess the $414.12 is after tax or a glitch in the software.

I don't know why the price is more than $360, but I have a theory. I wonder if they are charging you the difference between what the 8-day tickets with Genie+ cost now, minus what you paid for the 8-day tickets when you bought them. The reason why that might be more than $360 would be if the price of the 8-day tickets has gone up in the meantime. Disney had a recent ticket price increase. If you remember what you paid for your tickets, check to see what they would cost if you bought them now. If they would cost $54.14 more, that's your answer. Please let us know if that is what happened, or if the theory doesn't work out.

I think that’s what it is. I’m on hold right now.

Was on hold for an hour and somebody came on the line and started to help. They asked to put me on hold for a few minutes and never came back. All together was on the phone for 2 1/2 hours and no one ever came back.

I think Tom is on to something. Another possibility could be if you bought the tickets at a discount (eg thru UT) and are now trying to upgrade via Disney direct, maybe they will charge more in that case.

Can you add G+ each morning/after midnight through the App? I keep seeing people talk about having to call IT... is that just the AP glitch? We probably won't use it every day and it seems like people adding it to their ticket prior to arrival are having the most problems booking stuff...

Yes, this is the route we went. I wasn't able to add G+ by modifying the tickets, but was able to buy G+ after midnight as an add-on each time. Our tickets were multiday bought from UT.

Did you happen to get an answer to this issue? I'm having the same problem. I have 10 day park hoppers for 3 people. It is coming out to $16.65 per day instead of $15.00 per day.

With taxes it should be just under $16 per person per day. My guess is as other said, they are making up for the difference in the previous ticket price and what it is now.

It is $16.65 before the taxes. I agree that it probably has to do with the ticket price increase. Guess I should have added it sooner.

Was on hold yesterday for 2 1/2 hours with no resolution and 4 1/2 hours today with no resolution. Not 100% sure but I am assuming they’re trying to pass along the ticket increase.

I wonder if this is something they’re going to change. Why would I pay more money now when I can save some the morning of.

It's probably a happy accident of their ticketing system and some people won't notice that it's more than expected and pay it, so it's a win for disney to just leave it alone.

Convenience and not having potential payment / authentication code issues on the morning of I guess. I upgraded tickets in the UK - fortunately the total upgrade cost was less than adding Genie+ daily, but I had to change from 'last year's' ticket type to this year's which included G+ and pay the difference. Essentially it was as if I'd never bought tickets and then the money was used against this year's ticket type.

This same thing happened to me as well. I already had two 6 day park hopper tickets and when I went in to add the Genie+ to the tickets, it charged me a $195.56 plus $12.70 tax. The $195.56 should have only been $180 ($15 X 6 days X 2 tickets). It came out to $16.30 per ticket per day. Not cool Disney.
