Does anyone know if you can purchase an annual pass and apply the remaining $$ balance of several left over passes toward the price of the AP?

I don't think so. I believe one ticket to one AP only is allowed.

plus you have to have just purchase the ticket within a month or two to upgrade the ticket to the AP, we tried during easter and was told that we purchased the tickets a year ago and it would have to been within a month or two to upgrade.

they let us upgrade our seasonal fla resident ap's to regular fla ap's at the 10 month mark. they just prorated the numbers of days remaining.

:( You must have asked to upgrade your ticket.

Technically the CM gave you the correct information in Dinseyspeak. You only have 7 days from first use to upgrade the ticket. But what the CM didn't tell you and you apparently did not know to ask about was that you can apply the dollar value of the unused major park admissions towards any new ticket at any time.
