If I purchase DVC AP's for immediate family that live with me, is there anyway they can activate them without me being there? My son, daughter-in-law & grandsons will be arriving 2 days before my husband & I. Thanks!

Edited to add follow-up...

Follow-up....After speaking with Member Services...Yes, they can activate the Annual Passes without me being there. Member Services has a procedure set in place for these circumstances. Member Services gave me a Magic Number that my son & daughter-in-law will have to give Guest Services along with their id's & copies of my id & DVC Member card.

Thank you again to those that replied!

Thanks Michael! I'm planning on doing that, but unfortunately I won't be able to call for a few days so I was hoping someone knew.

They must live at your address and photo IDs for proof. You also need to show your ID and have purchased Direct to get an AP discount.

Thanks Bill!Yes they live with me & our id's show the same address. Problem is....they will be arriving 2days before me so I won't be there to show my photo id. I'm hoping I can maybe give them my DVC Member Card & a photo copy of my photo id.

If they can't get them without your being there, an alternative would be to buy base or hopper tickets in advance for the number of days of the trip (for FP scheduling purposes), then upgrade those tickets to APs when you do arrive. (If you buy the tickets from UT, Parksavers or other authorized reseller, you can save a few dollars, since those tickets will be valued at Disney's gate price when you upgrade instead of being valued at what you paid for them.)

As suggested you can make it simple. Buy tickets for them to use and then upgrade them to AP's after you arrive. :thumbsup2

Parksavers has a couple of tickets that are discounted quite a bit and you would get full gate value for them when upgrading so it's like getting a discount on the AP's. Win!

Thanks Carolyn & Kathy! Good info to keep in mind if they can't activate without us!
