I have 210 pts at AKV and just bought 120 more add on points at AKV. I am excited (and poor). Now that I have a place to stay, how will I get there and how long can I go without eating?

Can someone tell me that I am NOT crazy for doing this.

Who else has added on points?

We did a 400 pt add-on for BWV... does that make you feel better? LOL

You could always book a friend (non-DVCer) on some of your points and offer them accomodations in return for their covering your dining plan!

Addonitis . . . took over again this last May. It will do so again with the GCV coming up! ARGH!

We bought in 2006 and added on in 2007 and 2008. Each time we bought I thought we had the right amount of points. As far as costs are concerned, one thing that I've realized with our 2 toddlers is that going out to sit down restaurants every night is more stressful than enjoyable so we'll be limiting them in the future which will also save money. We have been going 3 times a year so I've found ways to be creative about how much the vacation cost, e.g. when we went in January I figured we saved at least $150 since we didn't have our heat running that week  We also didn't spend money on gas or groceries at home so the vacation really doesn't cost what you spend out of pocket.

I like how you think ;)

We added on 100 points this month at SSR. Instead of getting a car. I have a 2006 mini van but I miss my car. SO I'm stuck with my van for a while:goodvibes
