I have the GoWear Fit (GWF) which is the sister to the BodyBugg (BB). They are both manufactured by Body Media.

I've had mine since May and wear it everyday for about 23.5 hours. You can't use the GWF or BB without the subscription online. Mine is $6.95/month. The device can hold 14 days of memory. There is also a display that you can make as a watch or a clip on to your clothes. That only holds today's information and yesterday's information. You can't use the display without a subscription either.

I've been back on Weight Watchers and working out since the end of September and using the GWF to track how many calories I burn exactly and have lost 10 lbs now. It's very motivating if you get the display as when you are working out you can see real time what you are burning. I had the device without the display for a long time and never knew what I burned at the gym until I got home and plugged it in.

woo hoo DH got me a bodybugg for Christmas!! I wore it for a bit yesterday but not last night...I did see that a lot of people sleep in them. I can already tell a huge mental difference in me - seeing my calorie burn and intake side-by-side wow! It also functions as a pedometer, so I'm going to wear my pedometer today and compare it to my bugg.

I can't speak for the OP, but I purchased mine in October and it has been a godsend. I ahven't been wearing it lately because I was without a computer for awhile, but it was very useful to me. I did get the digital display for Christmas which I think will be a wonderful addition because it allows you to see calories burned in real time.

has anyone seen the philips direct life? i got an email about it today and it seemed like a pretty cool alternative for those who are interested in the body bugg. i like how it's so tiny!
