Purchased Memory Maker, now what do I do?

Son purchased Memory Maker with military discount for all of our family to use. We're home now but unsure as to what we do now, and how we proceed. Son said he was told that only his MDX account could download photos, and that could only be done once.

Years ago, I remember editing photos and adding in different pics and titles from Disney. Do we still do that? How and when is that done? How do we download all of the photos taken by our large family group? (We're all linked, and photos show up when viewing gallery.)

No one in family feels confident in what we need to do, and we're running out of time to act on this. We would appreciate step by step instructions and help.

Whomever "owns" the memory maker needs to download the photos but I've never heard that it can only be done once.

Whoever purchased the PhotoPass will have access to the photos through the MDE app and on the PhotoPass website to download however often they want - keeping in mind they only stay on there for so long after your trip - and then do whatever they want with them.

There isn't anything left in the way of the editing stuff - the website now is really just about downloading your images if you haven't done it from the app and ordering prints or other products (which you can do cheaper elsewhere.)

The important thing is that you want everyone in your travel party to have a My Disney account and that you all link to each other under "friends and family" in the app so that all your different pictures will show up for your son to download.

It sounds like you've already traveled and ideally you want to do this before your trip. I don't know that adding everyone after the fact will make any more photos appear.

We were already linked in "Friends and Family" before our trip. We were just confused about downloading everything.

When I use MM, my mom, who’s on my Friend & Family list, can see the pics but n they all have a watermark on them. I’m the only one who can download the pics without the watermark. I usually will download as soon as they appear in MDE and then I’ll share the pics with our the watermark.

When we went to Disney a couple of years ago another family we traveled with purchased memory maker. As I recall, they could only download those pictures for a certain length of time after our vacation had ended. It was not a 'one and done' sort of thing unless something has changed recently. It is FAR cheaper to download these and then find any of a number of online photo printing sites to print your pictures. Disney prices to print pictures are a LOT more expensive.

Have the person who purchased memory maker log into their account and they should be able to figure out where the downloading option appears. The downloading process was rather cumbersome and I can recall having to assist them in renaming the resulting downloaded files for easier retrieval.
