Purchase Discounted MagicBands upon arrival?

I'm staying at the Beach Club in February and was looking online at the magic bands available and noticed this language:

MagicBands are no longer provided complimentary to Disney Resort hotel Guests. MagicBands are offered for sale up to 10 days prior to arrival to Guests residing in the United States and Canada in English only. MagicBands may also be purchased when you arrive.
Does that mean you can purchase the discounted magic bands when you arrive (non-customized, obviously)? Or just the regular full price magic bands?

To get the discounted rate or "pre-arrival" price, you have to order in advance.

I went to shopdisney.com and searched on MagicBand. There were all sorts of decorative ones priced at $35 to $55. Where are the plain ones? Is it now a $35 minimum purchase per person?

I'm wondering the same - the only options right now are for MagicBand+. We just want to order the plain color ones in advance but no luck so far.

If there are no plain magicBands available for purchase in advance, how much do the plain ones cost upon arrival?

Buying a $35 cartooned one seems like an extreme additional inflation on top of the ticket price, genie cost, $ILL and photos.

We just got back and I will say I saw more people not having MBs and just using their ticket card to tap into rides (in the past I rarely saw people using their tickets). We only bought MB+ for our 2 DDs and DW and I used our older ones. At the end of the trip, we thought that the MB+ was a waste of $$.

We're going in January and there are lots of plain choices through your MDE tab on the Disney World website. Some are $10-$15. You are able to select individual choices for each member of your party.

Thanks for the heads up. There wasn’t much availability of normal magic bands on Friday. Looks like they replenished their stock.

I logged in, clicked on "My Disney Experience" --> then "My MagicBands" (ordering & managing)
There are none under $30.

Oof I'm bummed by the lack of choices for those wanting the regular MB! We prefer MB over cards since I love not having to fish my credit card out of my wallet. I do not want to buy a MB+ so I'm hoping my 2019 MB keep working for the time being! Are they selling plain MB in the resort shops?
