Anyone ever stay at Iberostar properties? Wondering how they are. I am looking into Iberostar Bavaro for May - anyone ever been there?

Is there anything worthwhile to do and see in Punta Cana? Wondering if there are any specific tours or places that are a must see/do?

Thanks! :)

I know people who have stayed at Iberostar resorts in Mexico, but not in the Dominican Republic. My boss has stayed at Iberostar Quetzal and Iberostar Paraiso Beach. Another lady I know stayed at Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso.

They both loved their vacations. My boss preferred the Quetzal but liked both. The other lady said this was her best vacation ever.

I'd feel comfortable booking an Iberostar Resort anywhere, I think. We are also considering Punta Cana in 2010.

We stayed at the one in Riveria Maya....beautiful. I won it from work (awesome).

I think all of their resorts are deluxe resorts...this one had a pool like storm along bay...lazy river, large, went all around the resort.

I would go again (especially for free)!

Do you remember which one? There are about six, I think.

Paraiso Del Mar looks beautiful. What a nice prize to win!

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!

You will not be disappointed. I stayed at the Iberostar Barvaro when I went to Punta Cana last May and LOVED it. the Iberostart Bavaro, Punta Cana and Dominicana are all together on one property with the Bavaro on the higher end. However the Dominican and Punta Cana are beautiful as well. The only draw back is the amenities, if you stay at the Bavaro you can use all amenities between the three properties, if you are staying at the Dominicana or the Punta Cana you cannot use the amenities of the Bavaro.

With all of this said, when I go back to Punta Cana, DR I will be staying at the Iberostar again. The people, food, resort and atmosphere are outstanding!

We stayed at the Tucan. We loved it! We would not hesitate to stay in another Ibearostar.

I had to pitch in my 2 cents. When we were at the Majestic in Punta Cana, we ran into some people there who were enjoying the hotel, but there all-time favorite was Iberstar. They had been several times. And this is with Majestic being #1 and an amazing hotel.

Punta Cana was so beautiful! The people were unbelievably welcoming and beaches were perfect! We did 3 excursions and all were fantastic! We ziplined and that included a visit to a farm that was so personal and lovely to see how they live and work. Ziplining was great too. We went swimming with the dolphins and everyone was so nice and they are very affectionate with the dolphins. Depending on how you feel about captivity, it was a great trip. Lastly, we went dancing at a place called Imagine and it was one of the funnest outings ever. It was in a cave and alittle intimidating at first, but they made us feel like we'd been friends forever--we didn't want the night to end!

Thanks for all the GREAT feedback! Sounds like Iberostar pleases.:thumbsup2

Never been there, would love to go some day!!! Check out tripadvisor [http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...tar_Bavaro-Punta_Cana_Dominican_Republic.html #1 rated!!!! Then look to the left of the page for "things to do". I love strolling around the tripadvisor site!

Trip Advisor is the reason I picked this property. It really is a great website. I didn't know about the 'things to do' though, thanks!

How was the weather while you were there in May? That's when we're going too. I like that we can use the other properties amenities as well. Thanks!

Those excursions sound like great fun. Do you remember how you found that cave dancing? I am going to look into that and the dolphin swim. Thanks!

Thanks again to everyone to the great info, its appreciated. :)
