Ok all of you entertaining queens - I need help with a punch recipe having exhausted my supply of cookbooks without much inspiration.

I need a punch recipe that is fairly easy - or at least any cooking such as syrups can be done ahead of time, is NONalcoholic, and not red or green (those colors stain and staining of light colored fabric must be avoided).

I found one that is based on pineapple juice, sparkling water, and can have ginger ale substituted for champagne...but am looking for other suggestions if you have them.

TIA!
Deb

Deb,

i have a really easy one...

One 2 liter of Sprite (or any clear pop) and a bottle of white grape juice. I guess you could add fruit or an ice ring but we just have it plain. For those of you who like alcohol, you can add gin, rum or vodka. I have also added champagne.

Here is one that has been a hit everytime I have made it. It is a Longaberger recipe.

Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

one 12 oz can frozen lemonade, defrosted
1/2 C raspberry flavored syrup, the kind for coffee or tea
6 C sparkling water
1/2 pint fresh raspberries

The punch recipe I love has hawaiian punch in it, so that will not do for you, but it is 2 qts ginger ale and 1 can hawaiian punch. You can probably substitute the hawaiian puch with another juice. What I like the best about this punch is to defrost a package of frozen raspberries, to float in the punch and to freeze some of the raspberries in ginger ale for an ice float.

I have one that also calls for Raspberry but you can do lime or any other flavor.

2 quarts of Raspberry Kool-Aid (I've used Crystal Light)
1 bottle of Lemon-Lime soda or Ginger Ale
1 can of Pineapple Juice
Raspberry Sherbert spooned in in place of ice - makes it nice and frothy (again, can use lime or lemon sherbert for other flavors)

This is approximate. I always taste it after I've put in about a half bottle of the soda and half the pineapple juice to see if I need to add more.

Equal parts ginger ale and white grape juice, then add enough of another colored juice (we usually use cran-apple) to change the color of the original mixture (trust me, although it tastes fantastic, it's not a color you want to entertain with!) :rotfl2:

Thanks ladies for the ideas. I'll run the white grape juice idea past the guest of honor and let him choose between that and the pineapple. The ones with any sort of red or Kool-Aid, fruit punch inspired color simply don't work for this event. 1) many of the guests will be in khaki colored uniforms and 2) DD (who will be serving) has a BRAND NEW white skirt she is planning to wear.

Those sound great! Here's another one that's always a big hit! It's very refreshing.

1 pkg pink lemonade Kool-Aid mix (no sugar added)
1 pkg regular lemonade Kook-Aid mix (no sugar added)
3 cups sugar
1 can pineapple juce
8 cups water
2 litter bottle of Sprite (not chilled)

Mix together the packages of lemonade with the sugar and pineapple juice. After that is mixed well, add the 8 cups of water. Pour this mixture into 2 gallon size ziplock bags and freeze them (the mixture will not freeze solid because it is syrup). When you are ready to serve, put one of the frozen mixtures into the bowl or pitcher and add half the bottle of Sprite. Mix and crush up the frozen mixture so that you have a slushy punch.

Here's mine:
1 2 litre bottle of gingerale
1 can frozen orange juice
1 can frozen pink lemonade
1 can pineapple juice
1 bottle marchino cherries
lots of ice

It's very good and the kids like it too! Do not add any extra water to it.

Here is the one our church uses for weddings (so it won't stain tablecloths).

Wedding Punch

4 6 oz cans frozen orange juice
3 6 0z cans frozen lemonade
1 6 oz can frozen limeade
2 lg cans pineapple juice
6 quarts ginger ale

Combine frozen concentrates with pineapple juice. Add ginger ale.

And this is one of my favorites
Banana Punch

2 12 oz cans orange juice concentrate
1 12 oz can lemonade concentrate
1 lg can pineapple juice
6 cans water (sm. concentrate cans)
1 c. sugar
at least 6 mashed ripe bananas (but not too dark)
7 Up

Combine all but the 7 Up. Freeze. Thaw a little (can use microwave), but you want it pretty slushy. Add 7 Up before serving. It takes at least 2 bottles of 7 Up. Add more as needed. Might take as many as 5. I don't have it written down, sorry! This is so good if you like bananas.

My absolute favorite punch is too simple...friend serves it at all birthday, pampered chef, whatever kind of party she's having...and I love it...

In a punch bowl, put 1/2 gallon of your favorite sherbet...she usually uses raspberry....slowly pour over it either ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. The soda melts the sherbert and it's creamy and frothy....yummm!

Thanks for all the ideas ladies. I ended up with one that was a pineapple base, touch of spice from some cinnamon sticks simmered in a tiny bit of sugar/water syrup and then mixed with lime juice, sparkling water, and ginger ale.

Froze and floated pineapple rings in it. It was a big hit - we went through 4 large batches.
