Pumpkins, Pirates & Poppins-A Magical Halloween Cruise W/PICS-COMPLETE!!!!!

have a blast and remember to take lotsa pics!!pirate:

Anyone hear how the cruise is going. I have heard they are having some rough waters now due to the tropical storm off the coast.

Last year on the Halloween cruise we had seas as high as 15 feet our last night on the ship. I do hope they are not having that this year..

Oh I hope not!:sad2: But it might stand to reason with the weather being the way it is.
Was this an Eastern or a Western?

According to the first post, it's an Eastern, which means they are scheduled for CC on Friday.

Well... they're reporting on the main board that they didn't get to go to Castaway Cay and are in Nassau instead today! Bummer! Sorry Melanie! Also it sounds like they may have had some rough seas! Look forward to hearing from Melanie how it went!

We are home..................:sad2:

Thanks for all the hello's while we were gone.

We got home around 7pm last night after landing in Nashville around 3, getting something to eat & then driving on home. We unpacked & loved on the :dogdance: & watched Pirates of the Carribean:The Curse of the Black Pearl. Man were we tired. Today it's :laundy: & relaxation. I am uploading pictures right now & hope to get a post up for you guys later today.

In answer to the questions...............YES the seas were rough. The first 2 night & the last 2 nights. We did not watch the news, but the captain kept us up to date on what was going on for the most part. The last 2 night were really bad..........I didn't even want to look outside to see how high the waves were. Eric got a bit green on our 2nd night & I was fine the whole time...........although I will admit to being a bit scared the last night that we might tip over, it felt like the boat was pitching that much. We did get diverted from Castaway Cay as well...........bummer but it was cool being in Nassau because we were docked right next door to the Wonder & that was AWESOME. And guess what that means................I had to book another cruise because I am still awaiting my beautiful day on Castaway Cay.

I will be back later......I have some great surprises for all of you as even with the bad weather this had to be one of our greatest trips EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there, we were on the cruise with you? Did your costume win, someone mentioned that it did. Yes that last night was very scary and it did feel like we were going to tip over around midnight.
But overall it was a great week, and we as well rebooked!

Welcome back! Can't wait to hear all about! Bummer on missing Castaway Cay but Yay for the new cruise!
:yay: for the new cruise & possibly 2 days at Castaway Cay...unless we decide to push it forward we rebooked for Oct 25, 2008
Welcome home!
Thanks!!!!! It's nice to be home in some ways, but really sad in others.
Welcome Back!:goodvibes
Look forward to hearing all about it!
Thanks Melanie.......I look forward to telling all my stories. It will help draw the vacation out.

Shhhhhhhh it's a secret-I'm not telling until I get there. :goodvibes: It was a great cruise...glad we didn't tip over & drown. I am still rocking a little bit today, but it isn't as bad as the last time I cruised.

So we left out to Nashville around 9am & made good time getting there. It was a quick easy trip & we knew we were saving money so that made it even better. Of course, we had to represent our vacation with the proper antenna ball.....

Nashville's airport isn't that large which surprised me & they only had one metal detector on our side which really slowed going through security down. I was worried about getting my Mary Poppins umbrella on the plane, but as you can see below no worries it made it through easily.

Here is a picture of the beautiful clouds we were floating above, we never knew that underneath all that it was grey in Orlando...but we had nice weather for the party despite the greyness with only a few sprinkles & it wasn't too hot which was wonderful.

We landed & headed straight for Magical Express & we didn't have to wait too long until we were on our way to the Wilderness Lodge.....we passed right by the entrance to the Magic Kingdom on our way & saw the Halloween decorations right away.

We were finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We checked right in & went straight to our villa.
We even had a Mickey towel creation waiting on our bed for us.

We looked around a bit & then headed straight to Roaring Forks for some sandwiches for dinner which were very large & filling. Next we caught the bus to the Magic Kingdom & arrived right after 7:10. Ta da!!!!!!!!! We were ready to party with Mickey & crew.

Next up..............Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party & did I finally get a picture of the Headless Horseman??????????

I am glad to hear you made it home safely and survived the cruise. I was hoping everything went okay on the cruise for you. That stinks that you had to miss Castaway Cay, but like you said...a great excuse for another Disney Cruise! ;)

I can't wait to hear about your trip to MNSSHP and see all your pics!
