Summertime in the city is here! And it is warm...Ok it is not warm... It is hot as h e double hockey sticks. In fact... I am not a huge fan of air conditioning and I have it going in the office and at home in the bedroom. My goodness it felt good last night. When it is 100 degrees at the seashore it is hot out.

I think it would be a lot better to tolerate if the AC in the office did not just break. I am still hot to the touch from the weekend...

Ewwww....

DBF is not feeling good. I know it is overheating cause he had the same problem last summer..... but I let him sleep/snore all night last night... which kept me awake, but I did it for the poor man cause he really was a wreck...

He still feels kind of gross and he definately had an interesting dream last night...

I just got an e-mail from him that revealed that his dream involved the Pope, my engagement ring, me and possibly a group of highly trained ninja monkeys.

We were suposed to go out with friends who are in from out of town, but honestly he is really out of it so I get to go home and play nurse...;)

I will only enjoy the heat when I have a drink in my hand waiting for the next ride at Disney.... not when I am stuck at work/home/grocery shopping in this weather...

Ok rant done....

I hear you! We have our air on, and I am very, very grateful for it. We are holed up in the apartment like little central air junkies. However, it cost a fortune last year, so I am trying to keep it not to cool, but comfortable. As in, let's not make this into a fridge.:lmao:

I don't know what's funnier to me, the Pope, the ninja monkeys, or the combo of the two.:rotfl2: When I have dreams, they're usually about meeting Jack Sparrow in Adventureland. No joke. I dream about what I"ll say, how DS will react, how the photos will come out. :::sigh::: Can you tell I need a vacation?
We were suposed to go out with friends who are in from out of town, but honestly he is really out of it so I get to go home and play nurse...;)
Uh oh...I'm a little concerned about that wink. Isn't the man supposed to conserve strength? Oh, behave! :lmao:

Now that's my kind of heat. I'm in Florida in DisneyWorld with a yummy drink kind of heat. Oh yeah....

:::TK daydreams:::

Well, back to reality.:(

I think everyone needs a vacation!

I feel your pain!!

I think TK and her little winky face is rubbing off on you! :rotfl:

Hear Hear! I got a little testy at DF this morning. I talked to him for 10 minutes and he mentioned THREE times how it was 100 degrees already. I told him I didn't want to hear that in Florida and that he would just have to suck it up and enjoy it or stay at Pop by himself. :lmao:

Our stupid built in AC in our apartment is ancient and unless it's on the highest setting it doesn't work. Which makes for a large electric bill which makes LL verrrrrrrrrrrrrry cranky. I haven't turned on until yesterday which was a big improvement from last year. I am going to have to wean DF off of it again after this heat breaks. ::yes::

Sounds like fun and would definitely help cut costs a bit!:goodvibes

The heat is just crazy out there. The central a/c on my condo is broken (runs, just not cool air) so my second floor unit is like an oven. Yesterday morning it was 89 degrees inside so I invited myself over to my brother's house to enjoy his pool and central air. :cool1: Makes me really appreciate having a brother with a pool. I need to get the a/c fixed but it seems like every year it comes down to fixing the a/c or going to Disney. We all know which wins out over that. I pulled out all my fans though so that should help.

I'm dreading yoga class tonight. The room has no a/c - it's going to be like a Bikram's yoga class!:furious:

I see that in your household as well you are familiar with the concept of the debt to be repaid.:rotfl2:

I'm such a naughty influence.;)

I remember our old apartment, same kind of AC and only one for the whole place. It used to get sooooooooo hot in our bedroom, AC was in the living room. It was hot in there in general. Poor little DS in his onesie in the crib. Sometimes he and DH would sleep on the couch out there just because it was cooler.

Sounds like fun and would definitely help cut costs a bit!:goodvibes

Yikes, sweaty yoga. Now I love yoga, but I'm not a fan of dripping while I'm doing it. Hope it's not too bad for you!

I have been off and on here tonight, but DBF is burning up and shivering.... He is a lot worse than he was this morning... :(

So I have been playing nurse which I know he appreciates, cause he looked up at me and thanked me for taking care of him....He has also pulled the macho "I can take care of myself" while looking like the 1000th ghost.

Why do men try to be macho when they are sick???

I am sorry your DBF is feeling poorly!

It's genetic.

Oh, I hope he feels better soon. He sounds like he's at the point where they get really bad before they get better, so hopefully by tomorrow he'll be fine...I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. So not fun to be sick or watch a loved one be sick.

Thanks... He is stubborn though, trying to do work while sick. Although I won half the fight and he is working from the bed when he is feeling up to it.

It's genetic.

I don't know what it is... but I find it funny...

I love you guys... :grouphug:

Thanks for listening to me....
