Pullout sofa/chair in villas

Can anyone give me some feedback about the pullout sofa/chair for sleeping in AKL villas? My sons will likely be using these, and the oldest will be paying his way for the holiday and I think that if the sofa/chair is not very nice then its a lot of money to fork out for a bad night's sleep on a thin, uncomfortable mattress.

The boys will be 16 and 21, so I'm looking for responses from adults rather than people reporting that their 5 year old did fine on one, please!

My husband slept on one in the Jambo villa we stayed in, and liked it. He's a big guy so that should help you.

I've slept on a few of the sofa beds at a few of the different DVC villas and was comfortable and I am a large man 380+lbs. I did bring my own pillow because the hotel pillows are so thin and there are only 2 extra in the closet.

I consider them "adequate." They are better than the ones you find in hotels far too often where you feel the bars on your back but not as a good as a bed.

I agree with above poster. Adequate, not great.

I have sons similar in age to yours....15 and 21.....and they always take the sofa sleeper. They really like AKV when they have the sleeper chair as well. They have never complained. They say they are comfortable and have always gotten a good nights sleep.

I have a W-Hotel Heavenly brand bed at home, and I actually enjoyed sleeping on the AKV pull-out with my daughter. It was pretty comfortable. No bar on the bottom and pretty good support. I'm not very heavy though.

Thank you for the input. I've now found a video tour when I can see that the sofa at least seems to have a nice thick mattress.

Our DS(18) sleeps on the chair pullout and says its comfortable and DD(20)takes the pullout sofa and is fine

I slept on one at Kidani last night. If you like a very firm mattress, it is fine.
