Pull Down Beds

Hello All -

We will be traveling in May with our almost 3 year old. He has definitely outgrown the pack n play, but is still (at this point) in his crib at home. He will not sleep in bed with us at all, so I was looking at rooms with the pull down beds as an option for us.

I am seeing mixed info on resorts/rooms that definitely have the pull down beds. Can anyone point me to a resource or help me understand where these beds are available? Do any of the King bed rooms have these?

We are looking at a moderate resort, or possibly renting DVC points for a studio villa. Thanks

The two moderate resorts with pull-downs, although not in all rooms, are POR and CBR.

DVC Studio villas with the murphy bed are at Poly, BCV, BWV, VGF and VWL.

I believe some of the POR Alligator Bayou rooms with murphy beds are King rooms. DVC studios are always queen beds.

If you get a room with two doubles, they will provide bed rails for the larger beds. I have had to do this many times for my moving sleeper.

Port Orleans Riverside (Alligator Bayou Rooms only), Caribbean Beach, and Fort Wilderness all have the pull down beds.

Fort Wilderness does not have pull down beds. Since the Cabin renovation last year the living room has a pull out sleep sofa instead

Whoops! My bad... I have not seen the renovated Cabins. I was going based on the olds ones.

You will have to pay for a preferred room at POR to guarantee getting a pull down. They only have them in the Alligator Bayou section rooms, and the 3 preferred buildings are all in that section. Otherwise you could be placed in a Mansion room, which has 2 beds and no pull down.

Just request bed rails for his bed. We always did that, then placed pillows and blankets at the foot of the bed. Mousekeeping will set up the rails.
