Publix, Sand Lake road, and foam coolers

Does anyone know if the Publix on Sand Lake road has cheep foam coolers for sale?

We have always stopped at the Walmart on Sand Lake road which has foam coolers about $5.00, and a decent selection of food.

I suspect the Publix may have a better food selection, but don't want to make two stops.

I am not familiar with Publix stores, since there are none in my local area.

If making only one stop for a foam cooler and other snacks, which is better Publix or Walmart?

Is it a Super Walmart or a regular Walmart? If it is the Super then they will have a wide variety of foods. I don't recall if Publix has foam coolers but I think they do. Maybe someone else can tell you for sure....

I believe the Walmart on Sand Lake Road is a Super Walmart, which has a decent selection of foods.

I was just wondering if the Publix is any better and does it have cheep foam coolers.

The Walmart probably will be the cheaper of the two - Publix used to have a good selection of food but it seems now that a good section of the store is dedicated to cheap beach stuff and Disney stuff- we used to be able to get stuff to bring back and heat up in the microwave - but that selection is not as good as we remembered in years past! Hope this helps!

Walmart has the foam coolers very cheap.
I prefer the plastic ones though cos the foam tends to snap off on corners if knocked about.

We always stop at the Publix once or twice on every trip to WDW. Our favorite place to stay is the AKL and there is a Publix about 5 minutes down the road off 192. We purchased a foam cooler for a few dollars there last May and it worked out well for us. They had a large supply of them and I bet they sell them year round. Publix ususally has a good selection of fresh fruit and their deli sandwiches are excellent. We also get a few gallons of bottled water from Publix and use it to make coffee in our room every morning. (Sorry Disney...your coffee is horrible! We bring a hot pot and a 1 cup melita coffee filter and start the day off right with a good cup of fresh coffee!) Prices are very reasonable.
We have also been to the Super Walmart down the road a ways on 192, but it is a much longer drive and we prefer the selection of fresh fruit at publix.

Another Publix fan here. Good prices, good selection, excellent produce and well-trained staff. Plus they do UPromise.

No WalMart in this family, not until they stop abusing their workforce.

Publix sells coolers for around 4.99 each. Stores are much cleaner and staff is great!
