Hi there everyone

Has anybody out there got any knowledge or info on the above supermarkets, i.e a web site where we can look at goods and prices, of the local Orlando Stores, look forward to reading your replies thankyou. :cool1:

Walmart is generally cheaper, but if it's a food shop you're after, Publix is better quality with better choices. They are really a food only supermarket - they don't sell much else - Walmart is the shop for virtually everything you can think of ie housewares, electronics, cd's, toys, clothing. The list goes on!

The websites are:-

www.publix.com

www.walmart.com

We like both. We do a big Walmart shop on our first morning and then we pop to Publix for fresh milk, bread and treats later in the holiday. Walmart is great but it is so big you end up spending ages in there. Not something everyone wants to do (including our DD2!!)

Thankyou for your information have tried the web sites wanted to look at the groceries, as my parents are elderly and fussy

hi

i would reccommend super target very similar to tescos never very busy all the fruit and veg always nicely displayed.

if your parents are elderly and fussy, i would stay away from walmarts....an awful place in my opinion (i'm not elderly, but older and definitely fussy)...

for food i would go to either publix or winn dixie, whatever is closer to where you are....both are nice big supermarkets with a huge selection....

Personally I would go for Publix which is not to far from you for fresh food like breads, fruits & veg. Wal-Mart in my opinion is great for electricals, cds & household stuff. Tinned stuff & drinks are very similar at both. The Wal-Mart does however have a lot better toiletries & pharmacy IMHO.

Thanks for that, will just have to give them both a try.... :confused3

We always go to Wal-mart on our first morning, as our body clocks have us all up at about 5 O'Clock . Walmart is open 24/7 so it's a good way to pass a few hours before everything else gets going. :cool1:

why not try supper target there is a new one oppened on 192 if you head out of disney at the crossroads and turn right think its sr535 and when you hit the 192 turn left and its half a mile on left also there is a new walmart just before you hit the 192 on the right using the same route
Paulh
dont know my left from my right

Maybe it's worth bearing in mind that 'Walmarts' is basically 'Asda' :goodvibes

IMHO all the supermarkets are worth a visit but the 'Target' stores were much better for household items - such as theme bedding / lamps / rugs etc.

'Walmart' 'won' when it came to cheap luggage and loads of 'fun' bakery stuff :sunny:

Super Target is the place to be. Its the only place you can find without loads of Brits looking for Heinz Beans.

Yes, which one you want is dependant upon if you shop in this country at Waitrose, Tescos or Asda/Lidl/Aldi :earboy2:

hi
always go to walmart for everything at begining of holiday by 2nd week novelty has worn off and can't be bothered to go through whole rigmarole of parking and waiting in line at the end of a tiring day so usually end up in 7/11.
only 14 days now. just got all my last bits and pieces. :cool1:  :dancer:

Nothing wrong with Heinz beans ;)
We'd have to be in a pretty bad state of withdrawal to pay the prices though :rotfl:

Hi everyone
Thanks for the many interesting views on stores to use,i have tried the main websites for publix and walmart but can never get into goods and prices etc.Anyone got any ideas.

:dancer: :dancer: many thanks

going for 21 days 21 oct,not long now wahooooooo

We used Publix and there was a huge variety, plus it's right next to Summer Bay which makes it super convenient (it's also next door to the Denny's we tend to eat in on the first night.)

Does anyone know where I could pick up cheap stuff for a MNSSHP costume? I'm thinking cheap plastic wand, tiara and fairy wings?
