PTR/TR - An Aussie tribe’s American Adventure Dec 9 2010 – Jan 23 2011

That's a brilliant shot of the storm trooper! Sounds like a great day at DHS and dinner at the Medieval tournament.

I'm actually slightly disappointed that you only rated me as a one-evil woman....Queenie always rates me as a two-evil (evil, evil) woman :teeth:

Have fun with the mini scavenger list....the rest of the list can be getable in Oz and there are no points involved. If you post 3 categories, Pea-n-me promises an image/icon for your siggie...

I really LOVED Medieval Times! It was so much fun. I would hate to be part of the crowd cheering for a knight that lost immediately though!

Can you please explain the last bit about 3 categories? Brain obviously not working that well...

What a disappointment your last day must have been. I doubt we would have lasted as long as you guys did.

Medieval Times looks like fun! I think I have too many things to try and do in my 13 days.

Looking forward to hearing about NY.

I am trying to figure out how to upload my first scavenger hunt pics,

You are getting some really great shots. I'm so glad you're finding the time to update so regularly so we can follow along! :goodvibes

Medieval Times looks great. I wish we had time to go while we are there but I think I need to step back and try not to fit too much in.

Oh no :guilty: what a horrible time. That must have been such a disappointment. I am looking forward to Harry Potter so much, I hope that they have worked out the kinks by the time I get there. Overall I hope that you had a wonderful time in florida.

Aww Shushh. That is horribly distressing to read. I had read other horror stories on the Universal section of the Dis and I'm sorry that you had to experience it first hand.

As for scavenger hunt, you just need to post 3 items on the list. You can post multiple pictures of the same item but to get the icon, 3 separate items. Hope that this explanation helps.....

I love your pictures....when you remember to bring your camera along and take it out! :rotfl:

Oh Shushh, your Universal day sounds so disappointing!! I wonder if the posted wait times are mucked up with people turning up with front-of-line passes? I can't see how they can predict when/where those people will chose to ride so it must be hard to predict accurate wait times. We're staying at least one night onsite in order to get front-of-line when we visit Universal and early entry to WWHP when we visit IOA. Hope it pays off!!

I haven't been online lately so didn't realise that you've been blogging your trip report. Here I was patiently waiting for you to get home!!

Love the trip report so far! It sounds like you had a brilliant time at WDW, albeit a few hiccups. I'm so very sorry for your friend's loss, but so happy to hear that she has rejoined the holiday :). I can't imagine it being so cold! I love your photos, you've really captured the magic beautifully :).

I'm so sorry to hear that your Universal experience was so disappointing. As you know from my blog, we loved Universal and the whole 3 days there was one of the highlights of our trip. I can only stand by my advice to stay onsite for the early entry and Universal Express. We also noticed the difference in the staff after being at Disney. The US staff seemed so blase compared to the Disney CMs!

I'm excited to hear that you loved NYC and can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip!! Safe travels! :cool1:

I have been waiting for your New York posts!

You did well not to buy anything at BH. It must have been very tempting. I did my first online purchase from them a few weeks ago - one of those pocket HD video camera thingys.

You're in luck! Here's New York Day 2 Dec 22

It was hard to walk away from B&H. It really was like a candy store for children. Harder to admit to myself that I have a long way to go in terms of my photography skills!

The climb to the top of the SOL looks amazing! I'm disappointed that we missed out on it, but will definitely do it next time. Your photos are gorgeous! I can't imagine it being so cold seeming as we were in NY in the middle of summer!

All caught up! Boy - your tribe is staggering!

And I cannot believe that you walked out of B&H without buying anything...but then again, with that stack of Nikon gear, I would have done the same. Nothing there to tempt this Canon user :rotfl2:.

Your pictures are gorgeous Shushh..I think you are selling yourself short. And you definitely grow into a new lens...not the other way round!

Climbing the statue of Liberty was very special! But I don't think I'd want to do it in summer. It was noticeably warmer inside as you were climbing up.

I was a bit anal with pre-buying tickets for many things as we were there Christmas week and I didn't want risk missing out or have to wait in lines unnecessarily. I remember in your posts that you missed out and that was what prompted me to buy the tickets early!

Ah, welcome back! And thank you for the compliments! Hope you enjoyed your trip.

I guess I still haven't grown out of my current lens. I've also got a lot to learn about my camera! Keen to see your photos from your most recent trip.

I can't believe that you spotted Kelsey grammar as well! What are the odds? The royal tour sounds really good. I'm thinking of doing some sort of private tour next time we are in NYC. Love the look of that pastrami sandwich!
