Love your pictures Shushh. Sorry to hear about Ethyl's dad. It's been bad all round.

Yay, another post. I have been stalking your blog for an update.

You did well to get to such an early ADR on your first day. Sorry to hear about your friends Dad.

So, you must be in New York now. I hope it is all you imagined it would be.

Lol...nice to know that someone is interested in what we're up to! We are in New York and its wonderful! Just back from a tour and getting ready to go to a Birthday dinner. Every day is so hectic!

Thanks Princess! It took me a while to remember to actually start taking the photos. Today I left the camera behind again....luckily there were 2 young boys with us with their DSLRs so I'll be pilfering their photos!

Ethel is back with us again! She got home in time to see her dad one last time before he passed away. Arranged the funeral and burial and then flew back to the states to join the rest of her family.

Anyway, promise to put another post up tonight!

The promised post which is 1 day late...

Dec 11

So busy!!! Might have to do the rest without photos for the time being. Can't actually see the photos properly as I only have my tiny netbook!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

I hope you are having a great Christmas, despite the freezing weather.

You will be forgiven for blog posts with no photo's, as long as you add them once you get home!!

Loving the blog! Waiting for more...popcorn::

Me? I'm not so charitable....Blog posts need photos... :rolleyes1

Due to popular demand, please note that the most recent post does include photos! THough I cannot vouch for the quality of the photos...

The photos are great....particularly the food porn! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like you've got your share of ups and downs on this trip. Did you end up getting elastic bands for the kids to attach themselves to the adults? :rotfl:

Thanks for adding the photos, especially Coral Reef. I have to pick 2 more restaurants for our ADR's and this is on the maybe list. The menu is not overly appealing as I am not much of a foodie, but the aquarium looks beautiful.

Losing a child is my worst nightmare, but to lose someone else's child OMG, you must have been beside yourself! They do say that if you are going to lose a kid, that Disney is one of the safest places to do so. Glad there was a happy ending.

We did! But the permanent pen did not stay on the silicone!!!! So the phone numbers kept rubbing off. :lmao:

Cool! What have you got so far in terms of ADRs? We enjoyed Coral Reef, although it is smaller than I expected.

I couldn't believe that I lost someone else's child!!!! So glad that Guest services reported her found so quickly. Otherwise, wouldn't have known what to do with myself. Sad thing was, in the back of my mind, the thought that I was not completing my assignment of acquiring fastpasses lingered on

So far we are considering:
Breakfast: Askerhus, Cape May, Tusker House, Crystal Palace
Lunch: Sci Fi, Teppen Edo
Dinner: 50's, Biergarten, Ohana, Garden Grill, Liberty Tree
???: Rose & Crown, Coral Reef, Whispering Canyon
OOP: TRex (Jack is suddenly into dinosaurs).

I need 13! Princess, if you stop by, would love your input.

How did the kids find Fantasmic? Mine were scared when they saw it at Disneyland, but they were much younger. I have shown them some YouTube clips and they say they do not want to go.

Did you have to order meals for Jonah, or were you able to share? I have tried to pick mainly buffets and family style meals as I know the older kids will not want to share with Max but there is no use ordering him a meal as he will not eat it.

Can't believe how cold it was! I have friends there at the moment and it is still freezing.

Wow! 13!!! Wish we had that many to play with. It was so hard to make a choice. We had a lot of dining packages chewing up our credits.

The children loved Fantasmic including Jonah. There were some parts which I thought might have been scary for little ones but they were ok. Its very different watching it live with the sights and sounds. If they're not fussed then all the more time to do other stuff! Play it by year I suppose?

We didn't order any meals for Jonah. We found the servings huge and the older 2 often could not finish their meals. The same applied to us! So between the other 4 family members, Jonah had plenty to choose from!

So many on your list are on my "to-try" list. Sigh. Too much to do not enough time and money! Hope the others can give you some input. We loved T-Rex!!!

I am glad you are still adding the photo's to your blog as I am really enjoying them. Your comment about the parade made me laugh. I staked out our spot early, making sure I wasn't looking into the sun, and that the view was acceptable. Everyone else thought I was being annoying.

So sorry to hear about Ethel's Dad, but so glad she made it home in time to see him.

Thanks for the info on the meals. Now I can continue planning without worrying about Max. May have to try Fantasmic, now to decide if it is worth doing the package.

Still loving reading your blog Shushh and think your day at Animal Kingdom sounded great! :thumbsup2 Your photos are fantastic and the more I see/read about AK, I think it's the park I'm most looking forward to visiting. I worry that, as I've only scheduled 1 day there, it won't be enough :confused3

What about:
  • Via Napoli, if you're planning on being at Epcot....
  • Raglan Road in DTD
  • ESPN Club or Flying Fish at the Boardwalk
  • BOMA at AKL

We also liked Chefs de France at Epcot..

DS10 is also similarly traumatised by Fantasmic! He managed to stay until nearly the end in May...but it was a real strain on the people around us. :rotfl:

Just caught up on Day 14. The food porn is amazing! Thanks for remembering to take those shots...:rotfl:

Shush - Not sure if you're interested. Pea N Me just posted the list for the winter scavenger hunt on the photoboard. There are a lot of snow categories....you might want to see if you can snap them whilst you're in the US :rolleyes1

Dec 15 is up!

Not sure how I'm going to catch up before the cruise. No internet on the cruise for me unfortunately :(
