Are your toddlers getting very moody, finicky, and developing little tempers? When Tyson turned 18 months, he magically became very difficult to take anywhere with a short temper. LOL

OH YES! Please tell me this goes away soon. The do not like being in the stroller right now and get so frustrated so easily!! UGH!

I have used both the whos shoes id and the say it bands. Both work really well and I bring both when we go to disney. Keep in mind that if your little one is wearing sandals you might not be able to use the whos shoes id, this is why I bring the say it bands as well. :goodvibes

I was thinking the same thing. I think I'll get both. Thanks so much for letting me know they work for you.:goodvibes

I still might do the tink gifts too. I just don't know. But I was thinking about if she does leave a gift, I will put mickey confetti or glitter on the table and putting the gift on top of it. He can't read so a note is not necessary but you might want to have tink write a not to your kids about their day. If you know what park you are going to each day for sure then you could prepare the notes ahead of time on tink stationary. If you visit the fairies at MK make sure you say to Tink when you first walk up, "Tink, thank you for leaving the gifts this morning in the hotel room. We loved the glow sticks." Or whatever the kids got that day. That way Tink can play along because now she knows that the kids got gifts and she knows what was left. Depending on your kids age, they probably won't realize you just gave her the info she needed to play along. It will add a ton of magic to the gift giving!! LOL

Well, it's good to know it's not just Tyson. He is getting better. He's 21 months. But his temperament depends on the time of day, how much sleep he got and if he's had a good nap. Taking him out to dinner is still hard right now. He will not stay in a stroller for any length of time and when he's mad he tries to bite or hit me. I mentioned this to his pediatrician and he said from 18 to 24 months is rough and then it happens again at 3. He acted like 3 is really bad. :scared1: How can it get worse than this?:confused3

Ok so I have a few things that have been running through my head this past week.

First of all, I want a cake from the AKL bakery. I read that the zebra cake, in one person's opinion, tastes like a zebra dome. That's our all time favorite dessert. We go to Boma for that one reason (and the fact that the food is awesome LOL) So I read that I need to order it no earlier than a month in advance. In room dining will deliver it once we go to our room. This really isn't a surprise though. DH knows I want to do this and said go for it. LOL

Here's a couple pics of cakes I found on the cake thread that gave me ideas.

Third, I worried about Tyson wondering off from us at the parks. Honestly, I don't see this happening because we make him hold our hand if he's walking and we always buckle him into the stroller. But to be on the safe side I want to have something on him that has our cell number. From another thread, I found some websites of things for Tyson to wear that contains our info. Here's the sites:

http://www.familyonboard.com/angelalert.html

http://www.amazon.com/Whos-Shoes-Velcro-ID-Tags/dp/B000E48QO4

http://www.sayitbands.com/sizes.htm

Which one do you think I should choose?

1. The cake looks delicious (The Zebra one)!!

2. That's a GREAT idea about the say it bands. I am definitely going to do that and probably that ladybug thing that beeps super loud. Rylan is a wanderer and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to get himself lost!

Oh it doesn't go away anytime soon. DS will be 3 in 3 months and he is just as tempermental as he was when he hit 18 mos. :(

Great! :sad2: It doesn't get better? LOL UGH....these tantrums are getting to me.

So I found out from an AKL thread that the standard room faces the parking lot or bus stop including the smoking area. Umm no. LOL I'm not going to start hearing those buses at 6:30 am or smell smoke. It was $44 dollars to upgrade to pool view so I went ahead and upgraded. I'd so much rather have a balcony that overlooks the pool or trees than the smoking area or parking lot. It's worth the little extra.

I found an animal kingdom lodge pen on ebay for 2.99 and free shipping. I bought it for DH so it could remind him of the upcoming trip while at work. I told him I bought it and he beamed from ear to ear. LOL  I did good! He's just as obsessed as I am. He just lets me do all the planning and he likes to hear about it.

My purse was delivered the other day! It's so gorgeous. Not as big as I thought though. It's borderline being a carry all or a big purse. But since I'm a bigger girl, right now I can get away with using it as a purse even without DS. It's justifiable when I have him because it will also be a diaper bag. Also, it's very heavy so I wouldn't take it on a shopping trip or something. Overall I still love it!!!

Question....when did your child stop taking a bottle? Tyson is obsessed with his. He calls it his botte (long e). He does like a sippy cup for juice, water or sweet tea but milk has to go in his bottle. Should I just take it away cold turkey? That seems so sad to me. What should I do?(Remember he's 21 months.)

I HATE the smell of cigarette smoke so I would pay the little extra for the upgrade too! YUCK!

I took Emily's bottles away when she was 1. She was using a sippy or cup with straw by then anyway. She didn't fuss about it, but if she saw a bottle in the cupboard, she would want it so I packed them all away where she wouldn't see them. The ol' "outta sight, outta mind" trick!! Maybe try the same with Tyson. If he wants milk bad enough, he'll eventually drink it in a sippy!

I'm so frustrated with Emily right now. Back in Nov, we started potty training and she was doing great. She would always let me know when she had to go and would sit on the toilet. I bought her big girl panties and she was only wearing a pull up at night and when we would go out (she didn't like public potties yet) Anyway, this last week, she's refused to use the potty and has gone on our new couch twice (we just got it last Tuesday) UGH! I don't know what to do! I'm gonna post on the families board for advice and possibly call her pediatrician.

Kids...what are ya gonna do?

I might take away his bottle and just replace them with sippy cups. That's what I thought I should do but battling him is not going to be fun. He likes his bottle in the morning and at night. I want him to be weaned before his second birthday in March.

I have no clue about potty training. Tyson is just now answering me if I ask him if he stinkied. LOL so I think I have little way to go. Gosh, I'd be upset too if I were you. Maybe you could ask your dr.

Thanks! Happy New Year to you! Yes, I'm so excited about AKL! This will be our first time back. It does seem a lot closer now that the holidays are over. My next thing to look forward to is my birthday!!! Yay! I'll be 26.

Thanks so much! I know I haven't really updated much or finished the June pics but I'm getting back into the groove of things. I have more stuff to report on tonight. I'm so glad that you are enjoying the posts. I hope they help you with ideas or tips. If you have questions or advise please don't hold back. You're going to have a blast in Oct. Hopefully I'll come back from Disney with some tips of handling a toddler at Disney.

Are your toddlers getting very moody, finicky, and developing little tempers? When Tyson turned 18 months, he magically became very difficult to take anywhere with a short temper. LOL

The colonoscopy went fine. I only have diverticulosis and have to up my fiber intake. It's still scary though having to do have the test. I was anxious. I haven't started nutrisystem yet. I'm eating lean cuisines and soup. I've cheated a few times so I haven't lost any weight yet. LOL

How are you doing?

Hey!! I'm so glad you're coming over to read my PTR. Where did you get your nasty cake from again? I forgot. Please don't tell me it was the zebra cake. :sad2: I didn't get the cake at Boma because we had an hour drive back to Daytona. I may get one this time since we are already staying at AKL. However, I think I'll have them deliver it to the room. Mmmmmm cake delivered to my door. Yes!!!!!

You are going to have so much fun. I want to stay in the cabins one day.

LOL Tyson cracks me up! Yesterday he took off his diaper, ran around the room with just a UGA football helmet on and yelling Yay!! Then tried to put his diaper back on by himself. Cracked me up!!!

Congrats on the weight loss! Can you share with me exactly what you eat? LOL what do eat for lunch, dinner, snacks? I'd greatly appreciate it. Also are you exercising? Man I'd love to be 32 lbs lighter!!!

We got our nasty cake at The Plaza. I know they didn't bake it. The box had a note on it to deliver it there.

It was a very pretty cake...:rotfl:

I can't wait to stay in the cabins. I think we will have a good time. I wasn't that pleased with our trip last year for some reason. It just didn't have the "magic" for some reason. Now you are the one staying where I would love to stay.

Tyson looks like an angel. Little boys are so sweet. My youngest loved to run around the house naked when he was little.......lol.

Thanks on the weight loss congrats. It hasn't been easy, but very worth it. I have so much more energy. For breakfast I usually eat a bowl of cereal, any kind, lunch is a sandwich or a Lean Gourmet by Michelinas and sugar free jello, and for dinner I eat anything I want as long as I stay within my 1200 calories. I do cheat every once in a while. I love margaritas so I have one about 2 times a month when we go to Pensacola and eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I snack on veggies, I don't use dressing on my salads anymore I just use garlic salt. For exercise I do Wii fit, park way out in the parking lot, and take the stairs at work. I use a web site to keep up with my progress and calories. Kinda like a journal. Getting started is the hard part, but once going it gets easier.

Good luck and keep this great report going.

The cake is pretty but it looks like one I'd get from Publix. I'm sorry it tasted horrible. I'm still trying to find info on the zebra cake. I don't want to call AKL yet because it's still 4 months away. :rotfl:

I know what you mean about the magic not being there. I'm guilty of letting one bad thing that happened on the trip ruin the rest of my day if not week. I want everything perfect. Yes, I'm slightly anal about things but I do not schedule which rides to do first or when to go to the bathroom. I just schedule what park to go to each day and where to eat including making ADR's. Then we just decide what to do when we get there.

Aww thanks for the compliments about Tyson. He is such a sweet loving child. He comes up and hugs me and says "Mmm, mmm, mmm" while patting me on the back! He also randomly comes up to me and says "Hey, mommy!" He said Disney World today while I was watching Season of Disney on the travel channel!!! I'm raising a fanatic! Yay!

Your diet sounds pretty easy. I mean it will be hard to start but it sounds doable. I've been eating frozen egg patties and a couple sausages for breakfast, a lean cuisine for lunch with sugar free chocolate pudding, and then usually eating bad stuff for supper. I have got to stop that.

I've got great news for everyone who likes Jiko and Boma at AKL. I found out from the DVC thread that the new restaurant Sanaa pronounced sauna, at the Kidani Village, which is the new AKV resort, will be opening on May 1st along with the resort. A restaurant has to earn signature status with high attendance so for now it will probably be one TS on the DP.

:dance3: :dance3:    :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Can I just say Yay Yay Yay Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited I get to try a new restaurant. Jiko and Boma are my faves and this place is suppose to focus on the islands of Africa with indian flavors. I'm too excited for words. Now I have to stay on top of things and make sure I know when I can book an ADR there. I'm thinking they'll open them up a few weeks in advance or they'll have a soft opening for a month or two then start taking ADRs. Isn't that what the T Rex cafe did?

I got Rylan off his bottle before his 1st birthday. I was terrified of baby bottle mouth lol. I had him on a Gerber Transitional Sippy Cup and after he saw other kids using normal sippy cups he switched. I honestly would take it away...but I have no advice other than cold turkey :( He really does need to be on a sippy cup or regular cup.

Yay for the upgrade though :) I don't blame you. I admit, I AM a smoker...but I hate smelling it (how weird am I) and I refuse to have Rylan smell it too! I am already trying to think of ways to quit so I don't have to feign for a smoke while I am there, because I obviously cannot smoke with him and we will be together the whole time. I figure I might as well quit!

Not to hijack (Sorry Brandi!) but I had the same problem with Rylan. Right around his 2nd birthday I started to potty train and he was doing AWESOME. I mean standing up like a man to pee into the toilet lol. Then all of a sudden he started purposely peeing on my bed and my floor so I ended the potty training. I don't know why he did it...but I figured he just wasn't ready for the bulk of it all you know? I plan on doing it after he turns 3, but I will probably wait til after Disney since I like the comfort of no peed in pants while we are there!

I thought so. I know he needs to be off of it. I'm going to Atlanta tomorrow to get my Burberry back, use a gc to Sephora, and a gc at cheesecake factory. So grandmama will be watching Tyson for me. I can't take it away tomorrow so I'll just start Saturday. DH will be home to help me. This is going to be torture.

It's fine!! I want us to all talk and share advice. You aren't hijacking the thread!! :goodvibes I'll be dealing with the potty issues soon enough. I plan to start after Disney.

You're not going to believe this....My new hayden harnett bag has a hidden mickey on the inside tag. I'm not joking. I keep looking at it thinking am I just seeing it because I'm obsessed or is it really there. I don't know what else it could be. I've turned the tag in different directions and I still see Mickey. Gosh that's just weird. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Joining your thread, too!!! We are going in May for my hubbies 32 birthday and our sons 1st. Our anniversary is June 2...8 years. I have my elementary education degree, too. Too bad I do accounting for a car dealership now, though! Must have been a math nerd, shh its a secret!!! Can't wait to keep reading.

The cakes I have had from Walmart or Winn Dixie have been much better.......lol. I really wanted a nice cake and a Zebra cake would have been nice. Most of the reviews, I have read, have been decent.

We did the DDP last May and I think that is why some of magic was gone. I felt so rushed to meet my ADRs that we didn't even get to DHS. Now, we did go to a water park but still I didn't like the DDP. I too plan and I am flexable enough that I don't plan every ride at what time, but I do like to wake up and know what park I am going to today and not have to worry about how long it is until my next meal.

Little boys are so special. My boys were, and are, much more loving than my daughter. She has always been so independent, not a bad thing, just not much of a mommie person. My youngest, Dallas, is my Disney partner. He has taken up where my older kids have decided to back off :scared1:.

The diet is pretty easy. No food restrictions, just portion control. I do run into days that 1200 calories seem to fall about 1200 short............lol. I am not a big fan of sweets but I do love real food. You can do it, if you can take care of a baby boy, you defiantely have the patients.........lol. Keep us updated. Contact me in PM's if you want.

I have no clue about potty training. Tyson is just now answering me if I ask him if he stinkied. LOL so I think I have little way to go. Gosh, I'd be upset too if I were you. Maybe you could ask your dr.

My DD was 21 mos when I got rid of her bottle; I wanted to do it at her 1st bday, but exDH wouldn't have it. She only used it at night so one night I just said no bottle. She cried for an hour and I distracted her with stories and puzzles. Finally she settled down and went to bed. Next night, I did the same and she cried for 20 minutes. By the third night - she didn't even ask for it, but what we did do was go out and buy the insulated sippy cup that she has milk in after dinner but before bed. It was her special "big girl night night cup" Now, she uses the cup all the time but then it was a great transition reward.

DS, on the other hand, handed over his bottle to me and spit the formula/milk combo when I was switching him to milk at 11 mos. He never looked for it since. Now, the pacifier is something that I still need to get rid of, however.

Hello everyone! All is well here in GA! LOL Sorry I've disappeared. I love Christmas but it wears me out. I'm more laid back and don't like having plans everyday and every weekend. The colonoscopy went well. I have diverticulosis, which is pockets in your colon from not eating much fiber. It's ok though. I'm going to do better.

So I'm thinking about doing Nutrisystem. What do ya'll think? I use to be 145 and gained a ton while pregnant. Tyson's 20 months old and I weigh 220. I want to be a cute size again. I have no self control on my own and will cheat easily. At least with nutrisystem I know we're spending a lot of money and cheating would just be wasting it. So I'd probably stick to the plan. What should I do? My goal is to lose 8 to 10 lbs a month. So in May I would be between 180 and 170. By August I would be my old self again.

I started WW last January and I have lost 50lbs so far, I have another 20-25lbs to go. I liked the idea of being able to pick what I ate and actually prepare it so I learned how to eat properly. I also learned that my problem was that I won't eat all day then have a huge dinner. I've been on 'maintenence' for a few months to get my thyroid levels under control again and have been given the ok to continue by the doctor.

Ahh I admit DS is still on the paci. 3 is the magic number for us!

Brandi and Wendy- would you guys mind if I sent Tyson and Emily a Disney gift? I am getting so excited about us going and wanted to send some cool "supplies" for them if its ok :) (I'll have to go and post this on Wendy's PTR too haha)
