In fact, today marks only 2 months until the "Just the 2 of Us" trip. Yay for Disney trips!

This weekend --> got quite a bit of packing done. Our plan is to check two big bags on the way there (2 extra bags are packed inside one of the checked bags...so we'll have the option to check 4 bags coming back)
Clothes are all packed up....toys, activities, books have been picked out. We decided to not bring my laptop after all. Joshua has a leapster and games to keep him busy, PLUS...we decided just a little while ago that Bridgette is going to take the kids to Target today and get something special for Samantha:

This way, they'll both have their own.
They are also going to get the Princess cartridge while they are at the store, too. They're gonna be so happy :wizard:

I was planning on mowing tonight, but the city of Moore is quickly turning into a floody-lake-mess. Instead, hopefully we can focus and get the rest of our packing finished up. :3dglasses

I will be on a plane in 68 hours!!!

By the way...looks like your ADR date is coming up in about a week.

Yep - I can make them on Sunday! I'm using a TA for the first time this trip, so I'm trying to decide if I can relinquish control and let her make them for me.... :scared1:

Isn't that the truth! I'm about sick of the rain - we sat in it until halftime of the OU game Saturday, then decided we were wet enough and headed home.

Just 3 more days!! I bet the kids are really getting excited now :thumbsup2

Relinquishing ADR control? Ach! That would be tough.

That was a nice 64-0 stomping by the Sooners :wizard:

Yay for 3 days! We got a leepster for Madeline at a sale last year. I think we might give it to her next month for an early Christmas present.

I'm so excited for you guys!

YAY!!!! I can't believe your family will be in Disney World in 3 days!!!! :yay::woohoo::yay:

Yeah...we're turning into a flood zone down here too. The forecast looks pretty stormy for Florida. I hope it doesn't rain the whole trip :sad2:

But even if it does, we'll be in Disney World!!!!!

I'm sure Samantha will love having her very own Leapster too. Those things will be lifesavers on the trip to Florida!

I bet you all are really going nuts. We have six days and we're still really going nuts!!! Good luck on all of the last minute things. :thumbsup2

Just got a call from Bridgette. When they got into Target, she was told she was getting something but didn't know what. Joshua made her close her eyes as they got closer to the aisle. Then, he grabbed the pink Leapster case put it in front of her and told her to open her eyes. Bridgette said her mouth dropped to the floor.
She was then told she could get a cartridge too and apparently she quickly started spouting off a list of games :rotfl2:

Well, I'm expecting quite a bit of rain, but I think there will be plenty of sunshine, too. It's Florida!

Hey I was just checking out your PTR, your kids are adorable!!! Only a few more days, can't wait to hear all about it.
We're super excited! Ready to go collect some stories :3dglasses

(Note: Airplane in 66 hours)

I am still here!! I have been reading without posting lately. Bad reader :headache: :rotfl:

Have a great trip!! I wish I was a little faster on the post, but around January this year, there was a big hoopla about the leapster2. Apparently it was not meeting the new lead limits, even though they had not been imposed yet. I hope they cleared that all up!! I got my daughter the original leapster, just for reasons of price.

Can't wait to hear about the trip when you get back! Maybe by then I will have at least one chapter of my report up!!

Safe travels :wizard:

Thanks!

And yes....make sure you get that TR started so I have some reading to come back to :3dglasses

ONLY 2 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY WORLD!!! :scared1: :scared1:

LOL...ignore the scared guys...I'm super excited!

In about 44 hours, I should be on a plane :donald:

In fact, vacation time gets to start for my parents in less than 4 hours. My mom is taking off a little early form work today and then her and Dad will head down to Texas...they will stay with my sister tonight, take the dogs to be watched tomorrow morning, and then tomorrow night, will pick my sister up from work and go stay at a Dallas airport hotel.

By the way,

I stopped at Home Depot yesterday and picked up some Alien Green Mickey heads. The plan is to have one on the bag that I'll be carrying everywhere. So, look out for those lime Mickeys those of you who will be on vacation soon like me. :wizard:

yeah!! Gotta love it! I hung my LGMH on strings so they dangled a little bit -- made them easier to see.

RE: leapsters. Two years ago we got the "My first leap pad" for DD4...now looking to move up to the next level... I saw Leapsters and Diji (sp)...which do you all recommend for a 4yo.

I think we may have to take your example and buy one for DD4 for our November trip...

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Just hours left for you...and me! We are leaving at 6:00 Friday morning. I can't believe we're so close! I'll be looking for your LGMH. I think I will have one too.

So exciting that Samantha got her own Leapster!

Marshay, Digi's I believe are "supposed" to be for ages 6-10 while Leapsters are for ages 4-8 (or maybe 3-8 I forget). Last Christmas we gave my 4 year old (who was 3.5) a Leapster 2 and my 7 year old (who was 6.5) a Didj. They both play both, actually, but my humble opinion is that a Leapster would be better for a 4 year old. Leap Frog just put out a bunch more games that are labeled ages 5-8 (my 4 year old can play the 5-8 year old ones we have, but my 7 year old still likes most of them), so it would last a while. A lot of the Didj games seem like they would be a bit hard for a 4 year old. :)
Sorry for the thread hijack crocko...hopefully that helps.
