PTR for the planning obsessed....Updated 11/5 We're home now.

I love all of your shopping loot! There's just no way around it - kids of any age need "stuff" to keep them busy. :goodvibes

Happy 45 days!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Ok some helpful ideas:

hairbands-ask your hairdresser, mine always has the small black rubber ones, I think that is what you are looking for. (she uses them in Aldine's hari when she braids it)

MM tubes-I had the hardest time finding them too, and you know I probably had like 6 at 1-time and threw them away....:headache: I looked everywhere too even at the gas station (that was a DH errand), we ended up down there doing a McGyver thing with what we had. Check Target in the $ bins, do they have the glow-bracelets yet out for Halloween? We had those cardboard tubes, and Dh cut 1 in 1/2 and it worked perfect, it now is in my Disney drawer for the next trip.

toys-HOLY COW! girl! I think I brought like 4 things for Margaret and she barely touched anything...but we did use old links and attached a few toys with them to the stroller as to not drop and not know where did that go....

Crayons-excellent triangle idea LOVE IT! but hey skip the actuall coloring book and just ask the CM waiter(trees) for a kid menu he can just scribble on that....oh and wait till he find markers and can take the caps off....I'll post a pic like tomorrow when Margaret is putting "lipstick" on and covering her body;)

Rain slicker-I am trying to remeber what did I use for that size baby? and I agree I think they are hard to find. I did find one for Mae at Target for this trip, but they were obviously too big for an 18 mo. old. Would you :scared: if it was a bad rain to just drape an adult poncho over the stroller with the head opening in front to RUNNNNNNNNNNNN!?

BTW- happy under 50 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :dance3:
and any to do list for Disney is funner than a normal list

PS bought some Disney papers and embellishments for the new album yesterday, almost time to start! Can I pm you to look for something for me?

I actaully don't have a hairdresser.....I got my hair cut for the first time in over a year last month!

I might have to go back to my old stand by....snack size ziplock bags

Those are mostly for attraction lines and for the resort room...Liam is always playing with something!

Who said the coloring book is for him :rolleyes1

I did get a rain cover for the stroller, I think I'll just look in Target in Orlando....I might have a get a size 2 but it would be better then nothing.

That's why my house never gets cleaned!

Okay, I don't know what rock I've been living under but I've completely missed your trip report up until now. I love all the plans that you've been making!

I had to let you know too that I really enjoyed the Storyland and Santa's Village pictures. I haven't been to either place since I was a little kid, but they brought back a ton of memories from my childhood! I used to love having my picture taken with that big snowman. I would even sneak into my brothers pictures as well. :lmao:

I have the same pictures too of me in terry cloth short shorts. That's one fashion statement I'm glad died out!

No worries....I'm been under that rock myself!

I'm glad the Storyland and Santa's Village pictures were a walk down memory lane for you. We plan to take Liam every year to Storyland....it's such a nice day trip.

At least with the terry cloth shorts you didn't need a towel at the beach....just wipe your body with your absorbent shorts!

I just noticed my ticker.......5 weeks!!!!!

I hope to get an update done next week.....life has got a tad crazy here in the last two weeks.....our home addition of 700 sq. feet (master suite, guest room and playroom in a finish basement) is back on. Plus DH got a new (used) car and we are getting all new windows for the house. My SIL came to visit us yesterday (she lives in CO). And we are going to CT tomorrow morning and staying over night for a wedding. Liam isn't coming with us so I've had to get the house ready for my parents to stay here with him and write out instructions for Liam and the dogs! Today we went to a Scottish festival....which was fun as usual. We got home and I thought to myself....I can't wait to get to Disney so I can take a nap everyday with Liam!!!

Enjoy your weekend.

Yay!! Five weeks!!

:rockband: :rockband: :rockband:

I'm going to get wicked Disney-itis when your trip comes! I'll have to kick it into full OTP mode!

Ok I think I am subscribed to entirely too many trip reports....But since they are written by my DIS friends, then I guess there can't really be "too" many!

Gee whiz you go away for 8 days and all of a sudden catching up on other TR's/PTR's becomes a monumental task!! But I'm doing it and yours just got marked off as "caught up!" :thumbsup2

I had a hard time finding any mini M&M tubes, too. Fortunately I still had one laying around here from the last trip so I just used that one. Maybe they don't make those anymore? :confused3

And I would like to know why there were no triangle crayons when MY kids were little??! What a great idea.

You must be getting excited! It's getting closer!

Heidi--are you still using MouseManager at all, or just doing your own spreadsheets, etc.?

Yes I'm still using MouseManager. Mostly for the day by day sheets. I also have excel spreadsheets for my master schedule and for my ADR's.

I was in a lull, a funk, a low with my Disney planning as you could tell from the lack of my postings.......I think the Mickey Mouse plush we got for DS in 2007 is a spy. How else did Disney know to have this in my mailbox this morning???

I have been working on some little craft projects on and off for the last few weeks and today I completed them.

LGMH DIS tags: one for my park bag, one for the stroller and one spare. (I stole the sticker idea from LL.)

I made a bookmark of sorts for our autograph book. I have the characters sign on the right hand page and then later at home I attach a picture of the character on the left hand side. This ribbon strap holds my place in the book and keeps them from signing on the left side. I use a giant sized Sharpie marker for the autographs and I think the characters with big gloves really like it.

My last craft is for an idea I stole from DisMomAmy. Liam is at the stage where when he is done with something he throws it. I took a wrist "leash" that I bought at Babies R Us and cut some of the strap off (it was too long) and attached a toy ring with a zip tie to make a sippy cup teather.
925010.jpg

I'll also be able to use it to attach his stuffy giaraffe that Liam travels with to his car seat on the airplane.

I start to think about packing and then I get the hives..UGH! My pre-Disney shopping list is almost complete....I think one trip to Target should wrap that up. Let me re-phase that, I will go to Target one more time and the shopping will be done wheather or not it's complete. I think I'm done with changing and tweaking plans.....famous last words. I'm planning on printing everything out in a couple weeks so it will have to be done by then because I'm going to use the color laser printer at work so I'll only do that once.

I'm hoping to work on our Halloween costumes this Sunday so maybe I'll have that for an update next week.

I have a question for you: how early do you think I can pack Liam's clothes in zip lock bags (ahead of time)??? I don't want them to smell like plastic.

I really love the way you used the ribbon for your LGMH's. I think that will be very effective in keeping them attached. Unlike my first one. Not that I am still bitter about that or anything. :rolleyes1

I love your autograph book as well. Just genius. I think I am going to have steal that for our 2010 trip!

Oooooo... nice mail!

I love the LGMH tags you made. Do you have a special tool that cuts the perfect little lines in them? They look very professional.

Glad you were able to use my wrist strap/cup holder idea. It was a life saver for us many times. Even as the kids got bigger and didn't throw their cups, it kept them from falling out of the stroller or off of the tray. I always just tied a big knot in them if they were too long - leave it to you to come up with a prettier way. ;)

I would think that you could pack clothes pretty far ahead. The only time I have had things smell like plastic is when I had the supplies from our school's luau dance in a container for the whole year with blow up palm trees and beach balls. We had to toss the napkins because they smelled so bad! I send spare clothes to school with the kids in ziploc bags. Sometimes it takes months for them to use the extra clothes and they don't smell like anything. You should be clear to start packing any time now. It would be more convenient to pack now rather than have to store the summer clothes and then pull them back out to pack in a few weeks.

Can't wait to finally see what those Halloween costumes are!! Your trip will be here before we know it!!!!!!!!!

It was funny because the day you were writing about losing your LGMH, I was actually making mine that day, hence the spare!

The bookmark is just ribbon and velco. Here's a tip for working with ribbon....burn/melt the ends so they don't fray.

Thanks. I have a special punch that does the 2 little lines next to each other. I got it at Michael's.

Glad you were able to use my wrist strap/cup holder idea.

I had Liam try it yesterday while we were shopping....he fussed about it for a few minutes because it was different but the desire for milk over rode the strap.

Actually 90% of his clothes for vacation are brand new. He's been wearing size 12 months all summer but is now getting into 18 months....so I have been buying "trip" clothes all summer long on sale. Everything is still hanging up with the tags on!

Can't wait to finally see what those Halloween costumes are!! Your trip will be here before we know it!!!!!!!!!
I have all the supplies for the costumes except one thing of ribbon (and only because I decided yesterday that I want Halloween themed ribbon.
