Love the breakfast! We like room service, so havent tried the dinner yet...

Yes, Johnny, Phanny and I are all so excited about going to the fireworks party with you guys! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We are talking about it tonight!:)

Oh my god, that s hilarious. Wonder why you couldn't book two?

Teeka said she remembers reading on the Dis that people were having better luck booking for 3 than for 2 for some reason. It seems a little backwards but she got in!

I'm hearing more and more people going for the Dessert Party, I'm really psyched for it. I'm even more psyched because it's the big surprise of the trip!

I did Boma on my last trip and it may be that one must for me. I would love to try it for dinner sometime! Maybe my NEXT next trip lol :confused3

I just wanted to say that yes I'm still alive and I hope to be posting a good update in the next couple days. I had a very busy social calendar this week so tonight was a stay in and do nothing night... Not even laundry got done!

We're only a couple days away from the one month mark and I'm super excited... I can't hold it in! I'm ready to dig out my Tinkerbell luggage and pack already! In just a few more weeks we'll be doing just that!

As for now I'm going to watch Dumbo and get some much needed sleep

Chapter 13-One month to go/the Checklist

OK so I lied... I decided that I wasn't exactly tired enough to go to sleep so I would turn on my computer and write an update. :cool1:

Well, we're at the one month mark (ok like 2 days over it) :thumbsup2
Here's our countdown as of Saturday:

Sorry it's blurry... I didn't realize until I put it on my computer and I didn't want to take it again haha :confused3

We're getting super excited! I pre-ordered the PhotoPass+ and the package came in the mail on Friday with the disc of stock photos and our “certificate” that we trade in once we get there for the actual photopass card?

Ok so here's what neeeeeeds to be done

-Haircut before Disney-Done TODAY
-See the chiropractor a couple more times to make sure my back will be ok-2 more appointments booked
-Possibly a pedicure, I'm debating whether or not to do it-Not looking like it, which isn't a big deal
-Half empty a bottle each of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash so I can dump them at the end of the trip and have less to take back-working on it
-Get my USD cash (have a USD account with money in it but I need to take it in cash with me)
-OH! Find extra wallet for USD cash-DONE yesterday
-Book Dessert Party-DONE!
-Make “tickets” to surprise mom and David with (almost done here's the front of them)
7763096838_9394336fee_z.jpg

-Finish paying mom for the flights-getting close
-Decide which shoes to bring
-Pack (in these-my Tinkerbell luggage and purse!!)
7763097662_fe0cc081e9_z.jpg

-Get Disney package (heard from the Travel agent, we should have that in the next week or so)
Along those lines, I e-mailed our travel agent about the Disney package and also mentioned that mom was asking me about some sort of free gift they give to people when they book through their company. When I went 3 years ago we got backpacks, and although they didn't last the duration of the trip (we were carrying bottled water in them and they aren't extremely strong) it was still nice. He said that their winter stock won't be in until September but he might be able to find us some earbuds... like really? I'd like to tell him to shove it but I think I'll wait until we're back from Disney.

Anyway, it's almost 1 a.m. and I think I might give in to sleep! Thanks for playing! hahaha

One month! One month! YIPPEEEEE!!!!

I need you to finish those "tickets" for the party so I can see what you do to the back of them.

I still haven't quite figured out what wording I want on the back of them yet... I should get on it!

Chapter 15-Single Digits!

WOW! Disney is 5 short days away. That's right, this Thursday we will be arriving at my favorite place in the entire world. So much to do, so little time to do it!

A couple weeks ago myself, my mom, teeka and her mom were all together with another one of our aunts and my brother. The four of us had streaks done (me, teeka and our mom's) and this is how it turned out..

yes with a Mickey bow!

After that I ended up finishing the tickets for the dessert party!

We have also had some time to explore and have fun. Last weekend I was off Sunday/Monday so we did a couple day trips on the island.
First, on Sunday, myself, Mom, and David went to explore the Fortress of Louisbourg in the morning, had lunch and then David started his last day of work for the summer there at 1; and mother and I toured around ourselves and ran into him a couple times.

First in Lower Class:

Don't he and mother look so cute together!!!

Than in Upper Class:

Hard to believe he's my little brother, isn't it?

On Monday, the whole family went to Lake O'Law and Cheticamp. Here are a few of the pictures I took that day.

As we were leaving Cheticamp. Beautiful, isn't it?

This past Thursday I ended up getting a pedicure afterall. You see a good friend of one of my cousins (NOT teeka) just graduated from esthetician's college in June and does it out of her home. It was a nice relaxing girl's night and this was the result

MICKEY MOUSES!

I am partially packed. The hair products, socks & underwear, a couple pairs of shorts/capris, my carry on and our paperwork/confirmations are all together. The thing is I don't have a HUGE wardrobe and I still have to work another 3 days so I had to wait until this weekend to get all my shirts picked out-because I want 1 shirt for every day we're there (so I'm not wearing the same shirt in more than one set of pictures-though we will probably do one load of laundry anyway) and then getting a couple days' wear out of each pair of bottoms I have. I have my dress shirts for Monday-Wednesday picked out so I'll be fine if I finish packing shirts tonight after work or tomorrow evening.

Mom and David have been busy packing this past week, and I think they're pretty much done. Mom is gone to a girls' weekend that she's been doing for the past 20 years so she will be back tomorrow evening and get to finish any last minute stuff.

Well I have to go get ready for work but I owed you guys a good update. We are counting on one hand now!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Congratulations on your trip being only 5 days away! :cool1: That is awesome. Teeka leaves a little later than you, doesn't she? Or maybe not. I forget. :rotfl2: Sorry, lots of DISers leaving soon for the world.

You hair, hair bow, and mickey toe nails are adorable. What a fun and festive way to get ready for your trip.

Those scenery pictures are amazing. You live in such a beautiful part of the world and I hope that someday I get to see it in person. It is so on my bucket list. I bet early September, late August is a wonderful time to visit.

Cute pictures of your mom, brother, and you!

Yes we do leave a few days apart. I go on Thursday the 13th, and Teeka comes on Sunday, the 16th! It's confusing, I know!

awww thanks. We sell those bows at work and so I bought it and a plain black headband and voila-I'm Disney-ified :D As for the toenails, I was so happy when she said she'd do something Disney for me :)

Thanks! :goodvibes We do live in a beautiful place and I'm proud of it. You're right about the time of year... late summer and into fall are amazing, especially when the trees start to change color! We were out and about the first weekend of September and we did see a few orange and red sets of leaves... the fall colors are amazing!

Thanks we had fun. David was the prisoner that day and was marched through town and put in the iron collar for punishment. I got it all on video it was hilarious!

here's a picture I took of him peeking out of the prison before his walk of shame

I have yet to get caught up on your TR... I know SHAME ON ME!:badpc: I wish I didn't have to go to work today at all cause I'd spend the day catching up on everyone's TRs. *sigh* I'll get there :goodvibes

I have to recommend mid-October for visiting! That's when the trees really turn colours and the Cabot Trail is supremely gorgeous. (I literally picked my wedding date to coincide with the leaves peak colour season! -- Oct. 16th!) The weather is a little chillier, and also there's a higher chance of rain, but the nice days are the nicest of the whole year and it's worth it to wait out a rainy one for. :thumbsup2

Mims, I think you should frame that shot of David in jail. Just sayin'. :joker:

Chapter

5...... 4...... 3...... 2..... tomorrow!

This is it.... I go TOMORROW :cool1:

I have no idea where the time went. I mean, I booked this 184 days ago and it's here. The time flew by. I've been so excited and almost jumping out of my skin the past few weeks and finally it's here, today, I'm calm. :confused3 I really am-not lying. Don't get me wrong-I'm super pumped... I think it's because of all the preparation that was done so far in advance, I just want to glide and let this happen. Take every day as a new day, enjoy every bit of it, and not wish the rest of the time away.

My back is feeling much better as of today:thumbsup2. I was in rough shape the last week or so. My final appointment pre-trip was today after work and my physiotherapist told me that the muscles in my back feel much better and much less tense than they have been:goodvibes. That's fantastic news! I felt really good when I woke up this morning too so that's a good thing. I slept really well last night though cause I went to bed at like 10:30.

Tomorrow will be a very long day. We have to get up somewhere between 3:00-3:30 a.m. Because we need to be at the airport around 4:45 a.m. The mornings can be pretty crazy there (my cousin Kim was there this morning to see her husband off to work for the next few weeks and it was packed). We fly Sydney-Toronto-Orlando and land at 1 p.m. So this time tomorrow we'll be enjoying Dinner in Downtown Disney:dance3:. Our first full day is also our first park day. I think I need to be pinched because I don't feel that it's really here already. I don't think I'll believe it's real until I'm on Magical Express and passing that sign.

Well folks, it's been a fun ride to this point. I'm signing off of my PTR and will be back in a couple weeks with my first ever TR! I'm taking a travel journal with me so I can keep track of my days before bed.

See you on the flipside!

:cheer2:
