PTR- Disneyland! What? We can go? This year?

So we are officially going to Disneyland. I am so excited! We were supposed to go in December this year but we canceled the trip because we were going to adopt a baby. The baby was due around thanksgiving and we did not want to take a brand new baby to Disneyland so we canceled the trip. The adoption fell through and we were devastated and agreed that we would just wait for the Dec 2012 family trip. Well the neighbors kept talking about going and invited us. We could not say no we both wanted to go back to the land. So with the dates nailed down and the room booked we are going.

We will be driving down with the neighbors. I am excited I do not have to drive this trip and I can sleep!

Dates Oct 14-17 Staying at the BWPPI. We will be sharing a room with the neighbors, since they are like family to us.

Food: There are several must dos for this. Chimichangas, Corn dogs, Café Orleans. We will also do breakfast with Minnie. I am not sure the neighbors will do this with DH and me but I love the character interaction.

I think with this trip we may be more go with the flow then our last trip when I had everything planned out. I would love to get more character pictures and to walk around. I would also like to do more in DCA.

I also have my spreadsheet started for what we need to buy in advance and also what needs to be backed. I am pretty sure I will start on some packing this weekend. I have a few shirts that I must take with me so those will be washed and packed.

Gift cards have been purchased. I have $150 in gift cards and I also have $68 on my rewards card. I will be adding more later as well as saving money to keep on my debit card.

I ordered two new shirts for the trip. I got a new pirate one and also a cheshire cat. I am pretty sure I will have to do an outfit change at least once each day so that I can have at least one picture in the park with each of my Disney shirts.

Trying to decide if I want to buy a new pair of Crocs or some Keens. I might even buy both. I am also going to get some gel insoles for my new balance in case it rains. I would much rather wear open shoes though. My feet like the air.

So I talked to the neighbor’s wife the other night. She is not excited at all. She is completely hating on the trip. I am so sad. I just feel like this is a trip that may not be. She is currently in Tennessee working on there house. They have one here in CA and one in TN. She brought up the trip when she called to check on her boys. She flat out said she did not want to go. She does not like Disney, she hates crowds, and it is not her scene. She just does not want to go and she blames it all on me. In reality it was not my idea it was her husbands and son. I did not say anything to them. I know they really want to go. Only time will tell if we will. As of now I am going slow on my PTR and getting things ready.

But good news about going to DLR! I hope the neighbor's wife pulls through, or maybe you can go without her? I went during the same time last year (Oct 16-17). Halloweentime is so much fun.

Thank you! We are currently working with an attorny to do another independent adoption. We are hoping to have a baby for our December trip next year.

My neighbor says we are going to go even if we ahve to leave his wife behind. The boys are so excited and that is all they can talk about. I am still trying not to get to excited.

We went last year on Halloween. How were the crowds when you went?

I was only there on a Saturday/Sunday so I had Halloweentime weekend crowds! It was pretty busy, but not unmanageable. It would be comparable to a summer day in DLR. Taking advantage of FP really helped.

Sounds like it will be about the same as when we were there last year. It was not to bad. We used a ton of fast passes. I also have mousewait on my phone. I am going to be making our ressies at Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe and Breakfast with minnie soon.

just ordered a new camera strap, lowepro 200 fastback as well as some Keen sandals. I am so excited for them to arrive! The days seem to fly by. I am going to make our PS today.

I'll also be there on the 14th but were leaving on the 22nd, flying into SNA and staying at the GCH. Who knows, we may bump into each other while were there! Hopefully I can find my LGMH before we leave, it will be on the back of my red backpack

Thank you1 We are waiting to see if the Gestational Carrier is Pregnant. We are currently in the two week wait. As for the nieghbor his wife is still gone and will not be back until the end of Septemeber so it may be working to our adventage. I know the son is super excited as well as the husband. I guess I should give them names soon.

Since the entertainment schedule is finally posted for our dates we need to figure out what we are going to do so we can catch it all. I guess I need to call the neighbor over and see what he ahs to say.

Did all my disney laundry this weekend. I packed up all my Disney shirts as well as my capri's. Now I do not have to worry about washing them when the time gets closer. I put in a dryer sheet with the clothes to keep them smelling fresh. I have a few more things to buy off of my list and then I am done. I am hoping to be packed up soon. I like to be able to put my stuff in the car Thrursday night and leave ASAP on friday morning.

Also found out that some friends will be there the same weekend as us. I am hoping to meet up with them. Some have never even met DH and we have been together for 10+ years.

I am so excited for this trip. So far nothing from the neighbors for not going. The wife does not get back until the end of the month. So we will see what happens then.

It has been a while since I updated this. A lot has gone on.

I fractured my ankle but should be out of the cast this week and good to go! I may need a brace for my ankle though we will see what the Dr says.

We are officially going! Tickets have been purchased! There is no turning back.

I went shopping over the weekend for some odds and ends for the trip. I still need to get water and snacks next week. I also need to get a hair cut. We will also do some shoe shopping. Dh needs new shoes I just want some new ones. We will see.

Also laundry needs to be done for DH and I need to start packing his things up.

I can not believe that next weekend we will be at Disneyland!

So this is my last weekend to do shopping, laundry and packing. I will be working late all next week so I want to get everything packed before we leave. Well as much as I can.

We still have not gotten shoes for DH it is something we need to get done. I ordered me a new pair of crocs. I also got some gel insoles for my tennis shoes. Still need to pick up snacks and water this weekend. I also need to sew a hole that is in DH's shirt.

Besides the shoes being ordered I also bought a new strap for my camera and I also rented a lens for the trip. I can not wait for it to all get here. Once they come they will be packed.

I am so excited for this trip and I can not wait until we leave. I so need a vacation!
