I've been to Vegas enough times to know that before you go, you take the amount of cash you are willing to lose and set it aside. No trips to the ATM or anything credit card advances while you are there.

I dont spend much at all. One year I sat at a slot machine and put in 10 dollars playing nickles and I got down to my last 10 nickles and I won a progressive jackpot. I was in shock. That will never happen again. I like playing mostly penny slots. I walked away with the money and put it in the bank. I sometimes watch people who win alot and turn around and put it all back.

So back to planning my trips to WDW. Friday we got some Great News! Our Villas at the Wilderness Lodge contract passed ROFR! For those who aren’t DVC know-it-alls, that means Right of First Refusal. Timeshares tend to lose their value once they have been purchased, so to keep the value up Disney has the opportunity to purchase each resale contract back before the buyer is able to buy it. If the price is too low, Disney will exercise their right to buy it back. They have 30 days to make a decision and they passed on their right to buy back this contract. Now it goes into escrow and I pay the balance and within about a week after it closes the points will hopefully show up in my DVC account. This means that I can switch my October trip from SSR to the VWL before non owners have a chance to book there!!

So back to the upcoming trip! There’s not much else that I can do until my BCV contract closes. I think there are still some 2010 UY points in there, and if so I want to use those points for the studio we will reserve on the night of the 12th. I already had to borrow 37 points from my 2011 UY and I’ve only got a few points left in 2011 until the VWL and BCV close. Soooooo that’s on hold for right now.

I’ve placed all the items in my shopping cart at Garden Grocer that I’m going to need to cook our meals, and now I’m struggling with my order at minimus.biz. I need $20 worth of items to get free shipping, but I’ve only got my shopping cart up to about $13. It’s hard when everything you are buying is less than a dollar and some of the things are only 5 or 6 cents!

I suppose I’ll need to start working on planning for the DC trip, it’s kind of like my stepchild! There aren’t DCboards or at least that I know of! I guess until my points close or BCV passes ROFR I won’t have any more updates for my real TR so I’ll just have to tell you about the DC trip which I’ve started to make some headway on it!

We should really be on an unlimited upload/download plan. Problem is that we bundled all our telecommunications up in a single bundled plan - landline, broadband, cell, pay TV - for a massive discount. Sadly, the bundled plans don't offer unlimited broadband, so we have a monthly limit.

Most months it's not an issue - it is a reasonably generous plan and there is more than plenty for all 3 of us - and at the end of the month, we're usually letting DS go wild with his downloads off u-tube.

Problem happens when I want to upload pictures to photobucket and then download them again on the dis. Most of my pictures are over 2 MB in size....
photobucket re-sizes them to a lower file size; so that there are no issues....but my upload this month has been, well, significant.

Just gonna have to wait till after Monday before I can abuse the upload again. Thankfully, I don't have quite so many pictures after Day 4.

Why not use Pisaca to export the pictures to smaller size before uploading the firat time? In all reality nobody needs to full res pictures, as our computers don't show all that well.

I just received notification that Disney waived ROFR on our Beach Club contract too! I just finished signing the papers for the VWL, I have the cashier’s check and will be mailing that back to the Title Company today. Soon I will receive the papers for the BCV too. This means that I will be an owner at both places more than 7 months before my two trips and can transfer my stay from the SSR Resort to the split two resorts!

What great news before I go get my massage, but first I have to go get groceries. We’re going to be socked in by a big rainstorm for the next 36 or so hours and I want to be all prepared!
