PTR-Cheating on Mickey w/Harry!...OMG! Only a month to go!

And there is yet another excitement on the horizon for us! We had been planning this before Fran got sick, but I didn't push it because she was so incoherent. However today, she asked me, "Have we made our Vegas reservations yet?" It took me a while to explain to her the days we had previously decided on, and show her the comps that we had acquired since our last trip.

In the end we booked 6 nights from December 21 - 27 at Sam's Town. My first concern was what we were going to do for Christmas Dinner. For those who have read through my PTR you know that we went to Vegas in January, and it was a food pornutopia!

As I said, I really wanted to make sure that we had something good for Christmas Day. I started googling and I got nothing. I ended up at Open Table and found that there were quite a few reputable restaurants with Christmas Day availability. I really wanted to visit Del Frisco's Steakhouse, so I didn't want a steakhoouse for Xmas day since I had alread booked them for the 22nd. I consulted with Fran and she didn't want another steakhouse, Italian, or Asian, so the Todd English P.U.B. was sounding pretty good. http://www.toddenglishpub.com/

We checked out the menu and it looked awesome, totally casual, burgers, fish and chips and a special prime rib for Christmas Day! I've wanted to try his Bluezoo, so I'm not at all sad about trying his Pub for Christmas Dinner and the dress is casual.

As I mentioned that we had Del Frisco's for Dec 22nd (we arrive the night before so I didn't make any reservations, we'll play that night by ear).

For the 23rd we're going to dine at Andre's at the Monte Carlo, http://andrelv.com/ I was able to get a reservation here, and it was so wonderful in January, I definitely want to go back. For the 24th (Christmas Eve), I've given Fran the bone that we can eat at a buffet. i didn't want to try a buffet for Xmas Day, but I figured Xmas Eve might be a little better, we'll just need to have patience for that dinner. I'm figuring that everywhere will be packed so we'll just have to wait for whereever we choose.

The 26th we'll just go with the flow. Somewhere

Well it looks like I'll be adding another 2012 trip, not like I have any more vacation time but this can't be helped. Just found out about the Harry Potter set tours in London. Absolutely must go see them.

So I'm a few days late, but I have an update! I made my reservations at the Wilderness Lodge for next year earlier this week! We'll be staying there for three nights after we check out of the Beach Club Villas, from October 17 - 20, 2012.

I'm starting to build this trip again!

My DB brought it to my attention since he knows of my love for Harry, otherwise who knows when I'd find out about it...

They do a a three hour tour of the sets. You are able to pick a specific date, or just get an open ticket and decide on dates later. It starts March 31and goes until the end of December 2012. They have the prices and dates available on that webpage, some dates are already sold out. I can't find out if it's only for next year and then they'll take down the sets, or if they plan to keep it running if there's a big enough demand, but I don't want to take the chance and not see them. A little obsessive I agree, but I think it would be amazing to see everything in person.

How wonderful Fran is interested in the Vegas trip! Now is this for 2011 or 2012? Everything sounds great. Will you do a Cirque du Soleil show while there?

Your rescheduled trip seems to be falling into place!

It's looking like our next DL trip will be Nov 3 - 7, 2012, 6 adults and 1 DGS. I'm not too thrilled using the weekend, but our DS can't afford to take off the weekday nights. This way he may only need to take off 1 maybe 2 nights.

It's too bad you have to wait so long for your next trip to Disneyland, but at least you have some other great trips coming up!

You guys should! You would have a blast, and it can be relatively affordable if you don't get caught up in staying in a swanky hotel. And you don't gamble away too much!

Wow! That sounds really cool, but I don't think we could go all the way to London to see it, we'll have to settle for US/IOA.

We're not that into the shows, we've seen two Cirque shows, they were OK. We're more there for the after Christmas shopping and the great food, and the blackjack!

I'm back! Gosh, I hate being sick. Like I was telling Bonnie, I feel so behind on everything. Like i'm trying to get caught up with homework or something!

Vegas for Christmas! Awesome! My MIL is still talking about us going to Vegas with her and her hubby in February, but we'll see. Depending on how things go, i'm not sure I want to visit Vegas for my first time pregnant Smoke filled casinos, can't drink, DH doesn't dance. The only good thing about it, is I would be able to eat a lot!
