Since the Halloween time announcement made a point to mention Mickeys Soundsational parade but not PTN it has me really thinking that PTN will be ending on September 5th with the diamond celebration. There had been a lot of talk about Disneyland Forever closing after the 60th, but not much about paint the night ending so I as surprised and bummed to be thinking this may be the end.

Also dining reservation can be made through September 11th now, except for paint the night packages which only can be booked through the 5th. I think it seems pretty likely PTN is ending after such a short time for such a great parade.

On my March trip we did a dining package for WOC and I had assumed I'd do a PTN package this time around. Now I'm sad to realize I missed my chance.

Anyone else super bummed over this.

Pretty disappointed about this. We were really hoping and looking forward to seeing PTN as this will be our first visit to DLR :sad2:

I am so sad about this! This is the best parade ever and I thought for sure they would be keeping it!!!

So sad. It's a fabulous parade. I'm glad we'll get to see it once more next month.

So will it just sit in a barn somewhere now?

There was a rumor floating around a while ago that it might go to WDW but who knows? I just figured since it was so popular they would want to keep it, but I guess not :(

This is really super depressing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this parade! Why would they move it to WDW? Can't we keep our awesome stuff in California??!! At least I will get to see it one last time this weekend!

I'm super upset that it looks like I've missed this as well. I'm trying not be too upset though because I knew it was a possibility. :(

I saw that. But they have been booking dining packages quite a ways out for the Main Street Electrical Parade.

I was really surprised to be seeing this possibly be for real because they kept the parade from the 50th around for a LONG time after the 50th was over so I assumed (*ss out and you and me for sure) PTN would as well. PTN is also very popular and the dining packages do very well and now there isnt going to be a dining package for any shows in DLR. I wouldnt do the WOC one again since Im not a fan of the new show and I felt the food at ariel's has gone down big time, but none of my kiddos will eat anything off the carthy or WCT dinner menus .

Well I guess I just figured out how to afford the price jump for MHP tix- Skip the dining package!

This is the only positive for me. I was stressing over how we would be able to see the parade without a long wait and was leaning toward the dining package. At least that's no longer something I have to worry about!

Also if it is coming to WDW that would be cool too since that is my "home" park and we go there often.

If it does head to WDW I could atleast see it in October 2017 when we do our 1st ever trip to WDW. That would be a fantastic addition to our trip!

Well...Disney just made my mind up for me. I was waffling in between dining package for PtN...or dessert party for WoC...looks like it will be the dessert party.

I sort of doubt this parade is going away completely. It cost way too much to just do away with it. If they do anything, I think it would be appropriate to possibly move it to DCA. That way, Disneyland could have their holiday decorations up without worrying about the size of the floats, the holiday fireworks (Believe) could come back, and most importantly, the crowds would be spread out more between the two parks. I've said it many many times, but the crowds at DL at night are verging on unsafe. This doesn't seem to be the case at DCA. Sure, WoC draws a crowd, but there's still space to walk most of the time.

I'm gutted it likely won't be on after September 5th, I get to DL that day so hope I manage to get a good spot to watch on my one and only opportunity
