I just finished writing postcards to my Kindergaten students from this past year. I miss those little rascals. They are in Las Vegas, and I recently moved to VA, so they will think it's cool to get a Washington, D.C. postcard, I believe.

So Mir, what do you do (for work) that has you working on a Sunday? It must be nice that you can spend so much time killing threads on the DIS and not get in trub for it!

That is so funny that you teach kindergarten b/c I am in an accelerated certification program to teach kindergarten!!

My BA is in Criminal Justice and I was a Crime Scene Investigator for a little bit, but now here I am ---- substitute teaching at my old elementary school and working as a dispatcher over the summer. It was a slow day at the university (I am a dispatcher for the local university police dept) today so I reached my goal of 1,000 posts.

I am sure your kids will LOVE the postcard--- how cool!

You want to teach Kindergarten? Yay! You will love it. They are such a challenge at the beginning of the year because they've never been in school before and just want to play all the time. But by the time graduation rolls around and you realize how much they have learned, you are as proud as their own parents!

I've only taught for 2 years. Then I moved here to VA, and I dont' have a job yet and I haven't even tried to get one. I might sub next year, I did it for 3 years in Vegas before I started teaching full time.

Being a crime scene investigator would be neat. What kinds of things did you have to do?

Yeah! I have heard it can be a challange. I have an awesome mentor type teacher. She is GREAT!!!

Subbing, in my opinion is awesome if you stay at the same school. The kids know you and you can pick when you want to work and if the kids are bad, just don't go back to that class!

CSI'ing was sooooo fun (homicides, burglaries, robberies, etc.) but the hours were horrendous and working with a bunch of pott headed women was NO fun. I would WAY rather work with a bunch of men!
