PS's for May ??

For all of you who have made late May ps's are you finding the dinner times to be finished early? I have twice now tried to make ps for may 24/26 for dinner (late) and the latest I can get is like 515. If the parks are open until 10, why are the closing so early? Is it just me or do I need to wait until we get closer? TIA

I am TRYING not to let it upset me. I have called right at 7 am, with no hold time, 90 days out. For May 28th, the latest I could get at LTT was 5:25 pm...even once park hours were released, they added no later PS. With the Fantasmic Dinner Package on the 30th, the latest I could get was 4pm. What's the deal?

We are heading over May 18-21 and I haven't had a problem....7:30 has been my latest.

I tried LTT and crystal palace. I took LTT but it is a 520 ps. Crystal Palace was going to be 505 and the park doesn't close until 1am. I can't have that early a dinner then ride all night. (May 23 and 25th respectively)

When the hours came out yesterday, I had to call and change a PS because it was right in the middle of the Stars and Motor Cars parade! I wanted a later seating since there is a late Fantasmic that day, she could only give me right before 6pm. She said that since the hours were just posted that day they didn't have any later PS's available YET. She recommended I try back in a week or so and she was confident they would be opening up later blocks of time. Good luck.

I called for Crystal Palace this morning and was given 5:50 for the latest seating on May 31. I may try to call back about 30 days out to see if more have been released.

this has always been my experience with dining at the mk. if you call right away they only have seatings til 5:50 or so. i snagged a 5:45 seating for ltt 5/23, and the cm told me to call back a few weeks before the trip to see if they opened up later times.

If we as guests know that it is not normal for the last dining time to be before 6pm when the MK closes at 9pm, wouldn't you think the CM would be a little more helpful or informative? It sounds like some of you have gotten some good advice about why the times are as they are but everytime I call, I get the most clueless CM. I was just told that "well most people eat at 6pm so that must be why". When I asked if there was a chance that more times would become available later she said "Oh no, once they are in the system then they are set". Whatever. We all know that's not true. I am not asking for her to pencil me in at 7:30, just give me some correct information and if you don't know, go ask someone who does. Sorry to vent but I get more accurate info by coming on these boards than calling directly. What is going on with the training of CM's at Disney?

i don't know, but i had the best cm i have ever talked to when i made most of my ps's the other night. you could tell he was a true disney fan and he was giving me restaurant suggestions and telling me where his favorite places were.

For what it is worth, I again called and asked for Crystal Palace on May 25th (when I know the park is open till 10 and it is EMH) and could only get a 5:05 ps. I explained that that would not due as the park was open till 1am my kids would not be able to eat that early and survive the remainder of the night. She did offer to go and ask someone.... when she returned, she was a bit short and said that that was all they knew and that I could try and call back in a few weeks and see if they had anything else. Sounded like she was trying to help but whoever she asked was short with her. (JMO) So, I will try again, maybe early next week.
