PS's all at once?

So, do you just call and make all your PS's in one big phone call?
We are planning on making quite a few for our stay.
Is it better to split it up and not overwhelm the CM?
Or if you have a great one on the phone just bombard them with all?

I thought maybe it would be less likely to have errors if I split it up into two calls.

Thanks

As long as you get a competent CM, there's no reason to call back. On the other hand, I've been known to use a white lie and say my other line is ringing and I'll have to call back if the CM seems... off. :)

Do them all at once. There shouldn't be a problem. You don't want to have to call twice and be on hold each time. There hold times stink sometimes.

Just keep in mind that you can only make them 90 days out. For us (peak time), I am calling every day for each ps. If you are going in a slower time, I would think that you could make them all at once, when you have reached the 90 day mark for your last day there. (Hope the last part makes sense)

I asked this question to a customer service rep at the WDW dining number and she said, it must be 90 days out. When it peak again? I am getting ready to start my PS calls (we're going 4/24 for 8 days) and I'm interested in learning more about this process.

a lot of NE schools are on break that week, so if you have your heart set on popular restaurants on specific days you should call on the 90 day out point for those places. It's a hassle making all those phone calls, but necessary if you are going during a busy time. Good luck( I'll be dialing next week, too:D )!

I made several for our 2/27 trip. For the ones that I had to have on a specific date or time, I called at the 90 day mark, for the others, I waited until the last PS was at 90 days and then made all of them.

If you are looking for CRT or PSB you have to start calling at 90 days as these are the most popular PSs to have.

Good luck!

So now PSB is busy enough, popular enough to warrant this treatment? We were planning on this breakfast for the latter part of our stay. Do you think it's popularity warrants having an alternative day, earlier in our trip? (I'm hoping not, but may be people can share experiences with me). We are traveling 4/24 - 5/1. I think we were hoping for a 4/29 early morning time.

Yes, plan an alternative day. If this ps is very important to you start calling 90 days from the first day you will be there at 2 minutes before 7:00am est. (A few days ahead call and check on which day they are currently booking for so that you are all on the same page with which date to call in)

Once you get a ps for any day, then try again 90 days from 4/29. If you are lucky enough to get a ps for 4/29, after you complete that transaction and get your conf. number, then you can cancel the ps you made for earlier in the week. (Some lucky person calling back trying to get a ps will then be able to now fill that time slot).

Also, if you cannot get 4/29 keep calling for about 1-2 weeks afterward at 7:00am to check for availability for 4/29. (Someone could have gotten a date THEY were really hoping for and cancelled 4/29. I would call probably 2 or three times in a row each morning because you can't count on how long it takes the other person to book a new ps and then cancel 4/29 (hopefully).

Hope this wasn't too confusing.

Unless you're trying for something like breakfast at CRT or Princess breakfast at Norway, I don't think you need to fret about exactly 90 days out much less 7 in the am. unless you're dining on Christmas Day, NYE or Thanksgiving.

I've been making PSs for lo these many years now and usually call and make them all 90 days out from the last PSs. This works even for Christmas time (but not necessarily Christmas Day), spring break, etc..

Rather than call to see what day you can make PSs, scottwdw has a great calculator you can use. Can someone do a link, please?

I believe more dining spots are released close to the actual date, so if for some reason you can't get a restaurant you want, try calling a week or so out or even the night before from your resort.

Totally agree with kapica3 that it is important to cancel any Ps that you've decided you won't need.

Gee thanks for all your responses. kapica3: What a brilliant idea about booking an alternative. I believe I can do that. I feel a little bad about such a tactic, but I guess if it can be done honestly, it's fair enough. I would certainly cancel it should it work out.

In my case it is the PB on a specific day that I'm seeking, but like I mentioned that certain day is at the end of my trip.

Does the PB require the CRT strategy treatment? Does it have to be from the first day in order to work or would two days (the earlier alternate and the later day work?) I'd hate to see us running all over the place or cutting out rides just to go to the breakfast.

How realistic would it be to get one of the two days at PSB (and hopefully, by the end of the PS period, our first choice)?

I call all at once. Then, if I re-think our schedule, I'll call again and change it. But I always call about 1 week ahead of time, to re-confirm all our ps's. I have also been calling in every so often to see if there has been any cancellations for CRT breakfast. I still can't seem to get that ressie!
