PSA/Vent - Low Rise Jeans.

I really don't like low rise. And thats all that seems to be in the juniors section so i have shifted to womans. They actually fit my hips and decrease "muffin-tops" I'm a little chubby, I range from a 9-13. Usually a 10. I have found Old Navy sweetheart style to be a bit higher of a rise then any other kind. American Eagle jeans seem to fit well to. I had this kind i got on sale that was button up fly and those were like heaven. So are the True Boot vintage style ones which were also on sale. I never buy full price from AE. Its kinda ridiculous. Kohls paris blue jeans are good too but they like stretch too much..

Ditto.

I had so many polos one year.

Different colors and patterns, and then a bunch of jeans.
Same style and everything, just different color.

Bleached
Slightly washed out
Washed out
REALLY washed out
DEEP blue

and i would wear a polo with it with possibly a necklace...VERY rare though.

That was in elementary school.

This past year i wore a lot of... pants, and then tank tops with a zipper hoodie.

I love zipper hoodies, but not like those stupid people who wear the hoods over their head and make holes in the sleeves for their thumbs to go through. I had three nice ones ( blue, green, and white).

:)

Im not much of the clothing geek.
I would love school uniforms, just so i wouldn't have to deal with stuff like that.

I like clothing, and putting outfits together, i just barely ever wear it because I really have no place to wear them too. Like I personally feel its dumb to get all dolled up for school, when I would rather just get a flowy top and jeans to be confortable in, then if I go out on the weekends I will dress up more.
I love parties/banquets though basically because I love any excuse to wear pretty dresses and jewelry lol. :rotfl:

Wow, that's very true. I do like low rise jeans, because that's what I'm used to~ but I don't like very low, low rise. I mean, I know there are people out there who don't like them. And they should make regular old ''mom'' jeans for them! LOL! Everyone has different opinions, and this is a good idea.....I think they should start making them again. I'm not saying that I would wear them, cuz I probably wouldn't, but for the people who want them~ they should be able to wear them!

Really?

my mom got my one pair for 50% off...but my american eagle clearances everything out like every week.

Exactly!!

I went on a cruise last year, and I had this red polka dotted dress that i got from macys, and i finally got to wear it.

Except...when I got to dinner, the lady who was serving us *who was...the most beautiful lady ive ever seen. Which..is really saying a lot, she was just..naturally beautiful in so many ways* was trying to get me to dance to Elmo singing "feeling HOT HOT HOT" but im like "NOOO ITS TOO SHORT ITS TOO SHORT" xD

even thought it wasnt.
It fell to about..my knees.:lmao:

Ok, I'm very tall and very skinny, therefore, what you all are complaining about works great for me.

If you go to good stores or get like disigner jeans or just good to a good quaility boutique you should be able to find something to fit your figure.

Ahh okay, that makes sense.

Yeah, my mom tried getting me into boot cut.

It didnt work out. :/

I feel so weird. Normally its the daughter who is telling the mom whats fashionable..but...jeepers, my mom keeps saying "Stop wearing that style, you wore a lot of that last season" Me :"Theyre comfortable.." "Well..look at that shirt, that would be so nice on you" "No it wouldnt. Nothing looks good on me, i like these shirts fine, until they are faded or there is a hole/stain in them..i will switch, but they are good for now" Her : "Alright..........but..im just saying that tank top..."

My sister kept on doing that, too. Every day I wear a t-shirt and jeans to school. I don't like wearing "girly" stuff. I don't wear blouses. Sometimes my mom will buy me them and then they just sit there. Then she yells at me for not wearing them. I can wear whatever I want to. Sometimes my mom will say "You wore that shirt last week." Me: "So? I like it." Her: "You have other shirts. Go put on something else." Me: "But I like this shirt!" Her: "Go. Put. On. Something. Else." The t-shirt wasn't anything bad! My parents try to make me a girly-girl. Sorry, but I'm not a girly-girl at all.
EDIT: I'm extremely picky when it comes to clothes.

For tops: No tank tops.
Nothing that doesn't go..before like the shoulder length (like a really short tee)
Nothing LOW cut to where you can see any of my chest. I don't want people to see my chest.
For bottoms: No skirts. No short shorts.

Yeah, I know, I'm a tomboy. I've been told that my entire life. -.-

I really don't like low rise. Most girls don't look good in them...they get a muffin top.

I think misses pants and jeans are cut better. I've started buying them. You would probably be able to find some to better suit you that aren't all low rise, as I know that's the trend in the juniors department.

Some of the best jeans I had were J.Lo jeans. They never left a gap. Unfortunately I gained a lot of weight and they don't fit anymore. A little more pricey but they were long enough and fit well so they were worth it to me.

Right now I really really like Levi's.

I like low rise jeans, but not the extremely low ones. I wear long shirts most of the time anyway so I dont really worry about anyone seeing my underwear or my backside.
I find it reall hard to find jeans that fit properly though. Im 5'3 and a size 1. I have small hips but bigger thighs so its annoying trying to find jeans that fit well. Now that i've stopped growing though its easier because my jeans last longer, and I have a bigger selection.
I agree that they should make more mid-rise jeans though, I know a lot of people who could use them to hide their muffin tops. And when people tell them that they should wear mid-rise, they say they can't find any in their size. We need to make more so they wont have any excuses anymore.

I'm a size six because I have big hips and the upper part of my thighs.
If I didn't have such big hips, I would be wearing a size 2, I swear.

I need to start exercising though, I'm not afraid to admit I'm a size six, but I don't really want to be any bigger...

Dude, size six is SKINNY compared to what I was before.
Now I'm healthy, not "at risk" for being overweight. People have said, "you're only a size 6? You look so much skinnier!"

I wish i was a size 6. I try. I eat healthy and i usually exercise (i've been lazy this and last week) But i'm still a 10. No one thinks i am and I guess as long as i'm cool with it then thats good. Obviously if there was some concern about my weight my doctor would have told me. A size 6 is about average around here...but then there are alot of girls my size and alot that are larger.

All I mean by what I said was anything bigger wouldn't be good for me.
I could stand to lose about 10 pounds, gaining weight wouldn't be good for me.

But right now my concern is not my pants size, I'll worry about that when I need to get new ones.

I wear low-rise.
I don't like my jeans cutting into my stomach.
I wear camis to hide any "butt cleavage" that could be seen.

AH I thought you meant it in like a shallow way...
Really I could stand to lose 10 pounds too. I would love that.

No, I would never say that.
I always think relative to my height and my build. I mean a size six can just be someone who's taller with wide set hipbones.
I have curvy hips, my bones aren't noticeable unless I'm laying down stretched out.
