To all you fashion designers who are planning on/already are designing jeans,

PLEASE REALIZE NOT EVERYONE LIKES LOW RISE!!! Please, don't make every style of jeans low rise. Yes, believe it or not, there are some "youngins" out there who prefer "Mom Jeans". I don't want to have to be holding my pants up when I bend down to pick up my books in fear that my rear end will be exposed to the world. Likewise, I don't want to see anyones undies popping out either.

Thank you,
Low Rise Jeans Hater.

-------------

GAHH! Shopping for jeans was hard enough before this whole low rise thing began, now it's even harder. Low rise is not comfy to me. I don't want the whole world seeing my backside when I make a movement. I much prefer mid rise or high rise. Call me a "Mom Jeaner" if you will, I don't care.
Finding mid rise bootcuts are not easy, but not too hard either. Mid rise skinnies? Yeah right. I'm still looking for those.

I agree 100%. It is just so uncomfortable in my opinion to have low rise jeans. I think I have one, and they really are not all that low. My favorite style of jeans: mid rise, boot cut, long. They are always the comfiest jeans I ever own. I also hate flare jeans, they always look so weird on me.

I just got a pair of flare jeans by mistake..oops..lol

I like low-rise. I don't like when I sit and the higher rise jeans dig right into my middle of my stomach. It's uncomfortable to me.

I have a few pairs of regular rise jeans, but more of the low-rise. But I always make sure to wear a long shirt when I wear low-rise jeans so I don't expose my bottom to the world. lol

I'm the low rise type of girl, but not so low that you can see everything.
I make sure that my undies don't pop out, because 1. that's pretty embarrassing, and 2. it's trashy.

I guess thats how I am. I buy them so they are high enough to cover everything, but low enough where they don't poke my stomach.

Same here.
I like lowrise, but not sooooo low.

Yep same here. I don't feel like exposing my whole backside to everyone. lol

yea i think that every pair of my pants are low-rise

but like most people i don't like them really low

There needs to be a wider variety.
I really only like lowrise (I bought some high rise today, but you can't really tell) but I mean really, there's not enough of selection. But yeah, lowrise probably aren't good for me. I always have to pull my pants up before I sit down and before and after I bend over. I need to go get some belts, it's pretty bad xD
I usually just pull my shirt down a lot so it covers it.
I mean Old Navy, it's flare or bootcut in highrise, low rise or midrise.
I want some skinnies.

I have a hard time getting jeans because people don't realize that, just because I need a bigger size around the waist does not mean I'm freaking 6 feet tall! It does not mean my thighs my knees and my calves are the same size as my waist! God, I was in American Eagle and they not only changed their washes but the make of their jeans. Now, if you want a size 6 and you've got real small legs like me, you're SWIMMING in them. They don't fit at all. It's horrible.
I have really really small legs.

I bought some jeans today that fit real nice but I've probably got about 3 or 4 inches that need to be cut off. I hate hemming jeans, mymother does it and well then the nice thread line is gone.

I wear a lot of low rise, but not a lot of high-rise. I don't wear super low rise, though. I hate showing off my butt to the world! There's a few girls at my school that pull up their thongs so they purposely stick out of their super low rise jeans and I think it is oh, so trashy. My friends and I laugh at them all the time.

I know.
In the beginning of the 8th grade, I was 5'2 and needed new jeans. By that time I'd gone up to an *ahem* 11/12 *ahem* at Aero. The shorts were too short and the regulars were too long! SOO annoying.

Personally, I'd rather have something poke me in the stomach than have crack exposed. Then again, I hate having my lower back exposed, so no short shirts for me.

Remember, Crack KILLS!

I don't have Aero's around here so I don't know what their short jeans are like, but American Eagle doesn't even begin to know what short is. They're thinking 5 foot 5.
Heck no. When I buy short jeans there I still have to get them hemmed. But that's not gonna happen because all of their jeans are just one big baggy mess now.

My stomach is never exposed. My back, only if I'm not spending every second pulling my shirt down. I buy long shirts, mostly becuase it's hard to find shirts that don't get longer when you buy a bigger size (another pet peeve, shirts that's don't get bigger anywheres else but the length), and then because I like to have the top of my jeans covered.

I think before school starts I should go belt hunting. I don't find they really help though. Like when I sit down it digs into my stomach and in the back it just kind of forces the pants away from my back, so even if they're being held up, you can basically look down the back of my pants

I am 5'7" and I actually have the HARDEST time finding jeans that fit. The long jeans are the only that fit I think, and usually they are all gone. I was at american eagle yesterday, and I had to splurge and spend $49 on jeans because every single jean that was under 30 just didn't fit. I mean I am average, I wear a size 6/7, and I am a normal height. So most of the time, my size runs out fast. I guess there are a lot of people in my same area with the same size...:confused3

American Eagle doesn't carry jeans under 39.50 here.
And those ones, are generally their cheapest kind, I think it's the Boyfriend or the Favorite. I'm not sure, it used to be the AE Artist, but they don't carry that anymore.
Most of the time it's 49.50 for my jeans there. But as I said, I ain't buying there anymore, nothing fits.

I dunno, I think most people wear the 4 and the 2's here. There's usually a few 6's laying around. Never in the short though.
And their straight legged ones? If you want the black ones, you can only buy them in regular, they're not made in short.

Good. Keep the 6s. I need em.

But I hear that AE has very good quality jeans? I refuse to go to Hollister or A&F, I don't care if they have good quality jeans.

basically all my jeans are low rise jeans, 2 from delias and 1 from ae and their both skinny and 1 flare from wetseal. i have alot of lowrise because im tall and those are the only style i find when im shopping with good length that actually fit me proper with size and length.

i don't wear my lowrise jeans low i wear them regularly with belt, so its not uncomfortable for me, except the one from ae i have to wear it kinda low a little low at my hips like right under the hip bone or like sit right on/under it becuase my thighs are big in them but its not low to the point where you can see anything.

They do have very good quality jeans. I've got two pairs of theirs.
But about a month ago they changed their washes. When they did that, they changed the sizing somewhat of their jeans. I own a pair of AE Straight 77 in a 6 regular. That six regular didn't fit, in every little different kind I could try on of that. They were HUGE. I could hardly keep them up. It wasn't tight anywheres.
Well their 4 is usually a lot smaller so yeah. I tried on a 6 regular, and a 6 short in every single kind of jeans they have and none even came close to fitting.

I got a pair of Buffalo David Bitton jeans at Winners today for about 45 dollars. The tag says they're comparable at 80.00. They fit really nice, but they need to be hemmed.

I almost got a pair of Vigossi, they were much cheaper but they had rhinestones all over the butt.
Neethanks.

I had a pair (of AE) that lasted about .. maybe... almost a year.
It went out at the crotch. That's where all my jeans get holes.
It's because I sit cross legged a lot so it pulls on there, and because my legs rub together a lot.

I was devastated when that happened xD
They were Hipster ones (I'm pretty sure they don't sell those ones anymore) and light wash.. Gosh they were so comfy. They didn't look great on me, but I felt great in them.

yeah I had an old style of american eagle jeans that I just absolutly loved. I don't even remember what they were, but they were possibly my favorite pair of jeans, of all time. They don't make them anymore, and I don't think their new jeans[wash and cut] don't even come close to their old stuff. Its kind of sad. & the boyfriend cut here is their most expensive jeans. It was close to $60.

My favorite jeans at the moment are my semi low rise jeans from anchorblue. I love these jeans so much, and they fit perfectly. I like shopping at anchorblue because they have such a wide variety. It is easily turning into one of my favorite stores. & the prices are to die for.
