We finally got our tracking e-mail



It's coming from Denver, CO expected Monday. I'll be keeping an eye out for sure as some of you posters said you got it early. It's only coming from just about 600 miles from our house so it's totally possible it could come early depending on how many stops it makes in my area before going out for delivery.

@mom2rtk started this thread actually the day BEFORE ordering was supposed to start, and we ordered ours then. We have received nothing.

Same for us. Actually our DD told us, we ordered and a bit later saw the thread. But nothing so far.

I saw this post yesterday but I waited as I figured there would be glitches with the launch. Kind of like when Microsoft launches a new version of Windows. No should be the first ones testing it out.

This morning, I'm watching Good Morning America, and there it is on the news crawl across the screen: Many people can't order the free government tests from the site due to an address snag for people living in APARTMENTS at the same address.

Sure enough, I test the site and ONE lucky (first) person used our address already and the REST of the hundred or so of us can't get the test kit as “At-home COVID-19 tests have already been ordered for this address. We are unable to process duplicate orders for the same address." It doesn't matter how or where I input the apartment number. (There IS a separate box to list it.) I'm using the way the USPS wants us to list our address and it doesn't work.

We are being told that with an undertaking this large there will be glitches.

OKAY. But will it be FIXED??? I doubt it. Or maybe, yes, at the END of next year's peak in that Covid variation.

I seriously doubt this will be fixed properly. . . before all the free test kits are gone.

I can try to get some of the free tests my insurance is suppose to reimburse for. But, around here, it's like The Hunger Games trying to get an at home test kit. And to get a PCR test at a lab, the results are currently coming back in about 7 days - when Covid will usually have resolved itself by then.

The potential apartment glitch didn't affect me. I ordered the first day. I entered in my address and Apt #. I put all the information on one line. My test kits were in my mailbox yesterday.

I expected they would have a short shelf life. The ones I found at CVS back in December/early January have expiration dates of either April or May 2022. It is what it is

We got our test kits today -- Binax NOW by Abbott Labs. The only date I see is Jan 28, 2023, so I'm assuming that's the expiration date.

We got the "Flow Flex" brand (4 of them) not long ago...

I already used one this morning, It was negative, but I cannot seem to convince everybody that I am OK... even though it was negative, everybody is like "oh those tests are not reliable". I think I mostly feel so bad today because I was awake til like 3AM last night. I was too busy coughing to sleep.

We got 4 boxes of the Flow Flex in the mail today (2/9).
-ordered on first day
-in Maryland
-never got a tracking number/email...didn't even realize they were doing that!

I'm curious, after reading your statement........what businesses will indeed accept the results of these government tests? I just ask because I will have to take a test for my colonoscopy when they ever reschedule (because of Covid and no procedures like that are done right now) . I know, I know, I can call the hospital on that question but just curious on people using this test and its results for various situations...example a basketball game?

I realize this is just anecdotal and we are only 2 out of a gazillion folks but both my son & I took rapid tests that were negative, only to take a PCR test later in the day that was positive. In my son's case he was actively feeling sick when he took the rapid test and also took a PCR just in case. I was feeling 100% fine when I took my rapid test but my husband was positive, and I wanted to be sure before I took something into the office.
This happened about a week apart, and I hadn't seen my son in about 2 weeks so we didn't contaminate each other, and we each took tests in different states.
