PS for Breakfastsaurus before park opens???

I made a PS for Donald's Breakfastsaurus for 8am and I just looked up the park hours for May when it is and the park doesn't open till 9am and it's not a extra hours day?
Will they let us in early??? and will we have to show them anything???
Anyone experience this recently.

The restaurant opens before the park. They will either annouce that those with restaurant PS come to one side of the turnstiles, or you can ask a cast member. They may ask for your PS confirmation, so bring your number with you. Usually they just ask your name. You will have to use your tickets to get in, and then a cast member will lead a group back through the empty park to the restaurant. It's actually kind of cool - but there is no time for lollygagging and gawking on the walk!

We've had the 8am PS at Donald's on several occasions when the park opened at 9. The best part of having your PS at that time (besides getting to walk, albeit rather quickly, through an empty park) is that you finish your breakfast right around the same time the park is opening.

I've never done this at Animal Kingdom, but it's rather widely reported on this forum that you need to use Disney transportation at this time of the day. They apparently don't open the parking lot to let regular cars in that early. Just thought I'd mention it. I can't even imagine being held at the gate with children waiting to see Donald and missing the PS because they wouldn't let me in.

I've never had a problem getting into the parking lot for my 8:00 am PS's at AK. We have done this each of our last six trips and have never had a problem except on EE day--big mistake on my part booking it on an EE day--way too much commotion!

We were unable to get into the AK parking in lot in time to make our PS last November. There was a whole line of cars waiting with us. BIL is a diabetic, so we had to really hoof it once they let us in, and the CM at the restaurant was wonderful about seating us ASAP.

Disney transport is the way to go.
