We are planning on eating at Boma in the late afternoon or early evening on Good Friday. We've never eaten there before and were wondering if PS would be necessary? Having a wait of 1/2 hour or so wouldn't bother us too much, but if it was going to be longer than that, we'd make PS.

For all of you who have eaten there.....opinions?

Boma opens for dinner at 5pm. We always get a 5pm PS and the place gets packed so quickly. There are always tons of people hanging around w/the pagers. It never hurts to make a PS, so I would definitly do it. -Steph

Just returned on sunday from AKL, spur of the moment trip with no ps for the entire week. Upon arrival at the lodge we made ps for boma (our first time eating there) It was wonderful!!!! We really enjoyed it and found it interesting to try all of the different food offerings. Upon our arrival at Boma, we overheard a rather irate person who mentioned they were at the lodge all week and could not get in the restaurant at all. So hearing that, I would advise you to make a reservation. Have a great time and try the carrot & ginger soup it was amazing!!!!!

You've convinced us. We plan on going to AK that day and are usually done by mid afternoon, so a 5 PM PS would work just fine.

I think I'll call tomorrow for our PS.

Thanks for the replies!
