I will be visiting WDW in April of 2003. I have seen many references to Priority Seating. Can you please explain exactly how it works? We will be staying at the Dolphin. Can we still do priority seating?

Thanks!!!

Yes, you can still do Priority Seating, no matter where you are staying. FYI... We checked during a recent visit and found we WERE entitled to "Extra Magic Hour" which other Non-Disney hotels were not.

PS is essentially reserving a "place in line" for a table. It is not truly a reservation, which suggests you arrive and are seated at the appointed time. Rather, it allows you to tour the parks, arrive at your chosen restaurant, and be put in the rotation for the next available table for your party size. You are behind the others who have PS for earlier times than you, but are ahead of anyone with a PS for later or anyone who comes in "off the street."

I think the most important thing with priority seating is to remember that you are reserving a "place in line" for a table. When we first tried it out, we thought we'd reserved a table for that time and were expecting to walk straight in. We couldn't understand why we sometimes had to wait. Having said that, we've never waited more than 15 minutes with a PS... :D

For a great tutorial on PSs and everything you need to know, including when to call, etc..., check out Scottwdw's PS Calculator. He does a great job explaining everything!
