Last Thanksgiving my family went to WDW and had to put a deposit of $10 per person for every PS we made. They told us it was only due to the holiday. We never had to do this before that, are they still doing this, or was it just for the holiday?

Thanks
Jeremy

They do this for holidays, like Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, NYE, etc. We had to put a deposit down when we PSed for NYE. However, if you cancel, they just credit your CC back again.

As Oogieboogie and Michigan Mom said, it's for peak times and for CRT.

But sometimes they will ask you for a CC if you are booking a large party (8 or more, I think) at one of the "fine dining" restaurants, like California Grill or Flying Fish.

WDW Dining earlier this year dropped the need for credit card holds for ALL holidays. The only PS event needing a deposit is the Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast and lunch. This is subject to change.

The two dinner shows, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and Spirit of Aloha
Polynesian Luau, are now pre-paid events. You pay for them via credit card when making the PS.

Thank you for showing me the light. I forgot that it was for 16 people and thats why we got charged. Thanks for the responses.

They also require a cc for booking the Fantasmic Dinner Package. If you dont show they will charge $10 a person.
