I wanted to post this yesterday, but did not want to highjack Nan's thread. So I'm posting my own!!!
My ds came home from school on Friday with a Certificate that he was Super Star of the Week for his school!!!!! They say it over the loud speaker for the whole school to hear, then you go to the office and the present you with the certificate!!!! He was so excited!
How it works is they get stars from teachers, administration personnel, cafeteria workers, janitors anyone who sees a student doing something good. then you put it in the bucket in your classroom and once a week the all the teachers send down their buckets and they pull a name from all the names. Then when they give you the certificate they give you back all the stars so it starts fresh the next week, and you get to keep your stars. And the best part is is that the stars say on the back of them what you got them for, and who gave them to you. Kinda cool huh?! He had 5 stars in the bucket. I so very proud of my little man. I hope and pray that he stays a nice boy.
I got home from work 5 min's after he got off the bus and came in the house and he and my mom were jumping up and down, (yup my mom with a knee that does not work was jumping up and down!!!), clapping, smiling all about it! He had to call my sisters, my bil, my nieces, everyone to tell them.
