Just wanted to share w/ the kids' Aunties...

PJ was accepted into NHS (National Honor Society) & elected as executive historian for Stu Co (scrapbook).... (so she will have 2 additional ropes to wear at graduation, she should receive 1 or 2 more after next year)

C was elected as his class secretary

They are both thrilled... C is my more laid back kid but he has been by PJ's side to help on all her committees and whenever they need help they give him a text and he goes to help out...

Ok, back to regular programming! Just wanted to share the news!

Woohoo!! Everyone take the rest of the day off.. I have completed my first scrapbook page in 2 weeks!! :woohoo:

Tell them both congratulations! and also to you, I know you have been behind them every step of the way with your wonderful mommy support!

Nancy, what I have often admired is how your family is so supportive of each other!! Congratulations to your daughter and son. You seem like such a positive role model to them!!:thumbsup2

Thank you! Thank you!

Caroline ~ the one thing I hoped I would instill in my kids is to be close and supportive of one another..(cause my brother and I were not close and my sister was 16 years younger than me and I went off to college when she was 2). I think it's working... I am just curious how we will all handle when she is 2.5 hours away at college in 2 years... I am really anxious to see how C will handle PJ graduating.. they are very, very close.... Glad we got unlimited texting and mobile to mobile on our cells or we'd be in the poor house quick!

Nan, I really think C will come into his own once PJ graduates. They are big shoes to fill but I think he's up for the job.
I'm not close with my brothers (or my dad for that matter) so I'm trying to get the kids to stay close. It's not easy!! LOL

Congrats to both!! I'm sure Bear will be right behind both of them.

Congrats Nan! That's wonderful for both kids!:cool1:
My oldest brother is 17 years older than I am and my sister still has a postcard from him when he went into the Gaurd asking if the baby was walking yet~me!
Lauren was except into NJHS and I understand how thrilled you must be.
I wonder tho, does PJ have an inspiration for the scrapbook or anyone she can go to for guidence?:goodvibes
Congrats!!

Nanc, you are doing a good job, give yourself a great big pat on the back! :thumbsup2

Both the kids were in NJHS too.... they loved it...

As for the scrapbook, she was responsible for it this year.. We had to submit for evaluation, since it recaps the year of activities by April 1. I upped the date to March 25th because the kids were on spring break during the due date.. .Of course I had them mail it priority and DC.... Then we were able to trace when it was received so they couldn't say we didn't make it by deadline! Our sponsor was thrilled to have PJ take over because she had no clue that you need acid free and save papers to preserve the photos.... they had been printing them on printer paper and using markers on the pages.... I made her pick out LO sketches and taught her how to flip them and adjust them to meet her needs.. But boy is there are lot of stuff she had to HAVE in there... gee whiz!! WE are already working on next years.. they just completed the Easter Egg Hunt, community service project last week with our lower elementary!
