Protocol for attaining Grocery's

yes, we definitely tipped GardenGrocer....very nicely might I add. I was so happy NOT to have to take my vacation time to go find a grocery store and transportation to get there (not to mention never knowing where anything is in a new store...yikes!).. A tip of course is a way of showing that you are pleased with your service..and we certainly had great service.

it was a small price to pay not to have to deal with the above...

If I were in this situation I'd post asking if anyone else is going to be there and willing to share a ride if convenient. I know I've taken a couple of members in the past when I was going out anyway. I bet you can get a couple of names and cells sent to you by PM and easily coordinate a grocery run or ask them to pick up a few things for you that you can get later that day then supplement anything during the week from the resort. But for a large run a taxi would be reasonable, the closest store depends on where you start from. And doing a national or local deliver service is likely cheaper and easier if it works out by if it doesn't, far more stressful.

We just used Marge from www.wegoshop.com for the second time. She had tried to call us about 2 substituions but DH had forgot his cell phone in the room. The substitutions were just fine though. I have found our service friendly and timely.

I see you are located in the golden horseshoe. As a resident of the steeltown, I find US groceries different. Where did you have them purchase for you?:confused3
I could download a current flyer for that store to get some ideas on what I want them to pick up as sizes, brands, are different here.

thanks for posting this info. I think we will use one of these services next trip as opposed to stopping on the way from the airport. Our group is getting bigger and the stop makes the kids CRAZY! I think I'll be saner this way.

Thanks!
